3M Half Facepiece Disposable Respirator, Organic Vapor, NIOSH Approved, Lightweight, Pre-assembled, No Maintenance

I recently just got pregnant and Im a nail tech. I ordered this mask but never tried It before I reached my client. I didn’t read instructions before using but i figured it’s self explanatory and easy to use. Which it was. I put it on in 10 seconds and it was great. The comfort wasn’t the best but it’s probably cause I tightened It too much and didn’t wanna take any risks of inhaling fumes. Breathing wise inside the mask is very comfortable. I smelled nothing at all with this mask. I took it off for a second to test and smelled the fumes so put It right back on. Highly recommend It if you are trying to protect your lungs from acetone or monomer.

I use this respirator when I clean my home & cat boxes and it works GREAT for that. It blocks out all but the most intense smells and even then, the smells that come through are very muted.I do not understand how this is a "disposable" respirator because the filters & retainer clips are readily available.For those who want to know, the unit did NOT come with any filters, so you will have to purchase them.If you search Amazon for " 3M Filter Retainer, 501 Filter " you will find both the retainers and the filters for this unit.Kind of a bummer that it doesn't come with them but what're you gonna do.

When contaminants include vapors when in enclosed areas and or when in contact with concentrated products ( not yet dilute or applied at higher concentrations) you will find that 3 M provides an effective filtering, ease of use and reliability. A true industry standard. Ensure that you get a good fit or effectiveness can be dramatically y reduced. Not too loose, not too tight. Snug Goldilocks fit!

This really does stop the fumes created by spray lacquer or epoxy. I can't smell the chemicals AT ALL. As soon as I remove the mask, the odors hit me and I'm amazed at how well the mask was working. The only problem is that it pushes my glasses up to where I'm looking through the close-up reading portion of my lenses. So I have to push my glasses out and down into a less than comfortable position to see what I'm doing.

3M half masks are the most readily available, highest quality respirators available and it's obvious why they are a if not the leading manufacturer of protective half masks. You get what you pay for, my experience holds true to that. I've tried 3 or 4 other brands and the moment you take this 3M mask out the packaging you realize why it costs more than the miscellaneous brands you've never heard of and will question whether or not you've actually purchased a "disposable" mask as it is nearly identical the non-disposable version except the filter are not the bayonet Style locking type, they are permanently adhered to the mask and this is a DISPOSABLE half mask! Do not attempt to remove the filters or it will quickly change from disposable to trash, these are one time use. If you need to use it regularly or even plan on needing it more than one better safe than sorry, purchase additional unit or the reusable version which is around the same price as this one if not cheaper when filter aren't included

This is a key item when using vaporizing chemicals that can do serious damage if care is not taken to avoid inhalation. Excellent quality and comfortable fit.

I bought this to wear while working with acid, to keep from inhaling the fumes. This mask did a great job and I was able to breathe freely, with no trouble, while working. I purchased an eye mask to wear along with this so my eyes would also be protected from the fumes and had no trouble fitting the eye mask around the nose of the respirator mask. Worked great!

I use this when I dump gasoline everywhere working on a fuel injection system. Just can't take the fumes. Wearing this mask I don't even notice. Same with spray paint. I usually replace them when I begin to smell the odors again. On a side note, I wore this mask for a few hours in the spring time without noticing. I took it off, and I could instantly smell the trees, the flowers, the grass, the pollen. It's like I got intense smell-o-vision. Interesting effect!
