Straight from the Horse's Mouth: How to Talk to Animals and Get Answers

Yes, I read it, and plan to read it again. This has delightful stories in it and the author has a very "witchy" or "etherical" bend to her writing in this book. She does not push any religion, but speaks of angels and other ethereal beings as assistants or helpers. I love the way she speaks with animals and brings this gift down to earth into the reach of the masses. I truly enjoyed reading this and savored every page. She ends with some food for thought, which is sprinkled throughout the book, that will make you consider putting your money where your heart is.

Again Amelia's writing is fantastic; you'll love all of her books, no doubt.

I am a journalist, and I got this book for research in connection with an article I was writing for FERRETS magazine. I also got it because I was basically just interested in the subject. Well, I read A LOT of books for my research, but I am glad I *bought* this one. It's a keeper. It's extremely well-written in an entertaining style, and covers everything you could possibly want to know about interspecies communication. I even bought another copy as a gift for a friend. I will read it again, for sure.My one complaint? No ferret stories!Staci Layne Wilson

I read it through once and learned to both talk to and hear my cats. Burnie's first comment was, "I would like some milk," and she has asked for a little milk treat every day since, for years now. Zorro's first message to me was, "I don't like to be held on my back." I apologized and promised never to do it again. Then, I told her it hurts my back for her to lie on my legs -- she has never once gotten up on my legs since, instead lying on my lap or shoulders. And thus began a beautiful life together... I have read other books on learning to communicate with animals. This is the only one that worked for me. It was easy, it was fun. She really knows what she's doing.

this book is a wonderful and quick read. going through the exercises has helped me get closer to my own animal companions and truly hear for the first time "their communication voice." My two cats once had a great laugh when I was trying to shush them to get them to answer a different question. They were laughing saying "she doesn't think we already talk to each other." It was almost like they were belly-laughing at me. Go figure. Highly recommend this book.

You have to read this book...especially if you are an animal lover. It is amazing!

Not only will you learn about how animal communication works, but there are meditations and techniques, step by step, for you to learn how to communicate with your own animals. Amazing. I also discovered as I read about Amelia's experiences and the information that animals shared with her (pets, wild animals, animals in zoos, animals in factory farms) that my deep respect for animals must move to a new level and I started down the path to veganism. Thank you Amelia for your loving insights and the incredible stories in your book--and also for the personal reading you did with my dogs.

I was very excited to receive this book, as it was recommended by a friend whose opinion I value. I was not disappointed. The format was reader-friendly, the writing style is comfortable and entertaining. The content may not be for everyone, but even if you don't "buy" what's presented, it is a very fun read!

This is a beatiful book, every page a complete and utter delight. Far, far more depth to it than might otherwise be suggested. If you are spiritual (or have a soul) you'll simply love this book. No doubt you will end up reading it many times over.

Excellent book. Really in depth and interesting. Some other AC books are, how we say - very lightweight, and just have (self publicising) stories.If you are looking for more substance then buy this.

I'm still not sure if I can communicate with animals, but I loved reading this anyway.

Excellent, must read for those who want to communicate with our non human brothers and sisters.
