I am going to review this for our dog, but will also comment on use for people as well. I have a special needs chihuahua. She is mobile but unable to go outdoors, so she uses bed pads for bathroom needs. I love that this one is so large, and works decent for us. There are some issues with it though, so if you are using it for a person or an animal that is not mobile I definitely don’t recommend this. First of all when my dog urinates on the pad the urine just sits on top of the pad. It doesn’t soak in immediately. It takes it 30-60 minutes before it actually soaks in. This is not ideal for a person or animal who would be on this all night or full time. The next issue is when it is urinated on and it finally soaks in, the back side of the pad gets wet. It’s not a super dripping mess, but it does get wet. I put a second pad under ours or double it over, which helps, but that’s not exactly convenient. This would get very old if I was working with a person or animal that needed this underneath them at all times.For my use I give it 3 stars, since the urine doesn’t soak up immediately sometimes my dog steps in it and then I have to wash her feet and mop the floor.Thinking about a person or animal who would be laying on it for extended times I give it -3 stars.The positive is I have washed and dried them several times, they hold up well for washing.

I use this on the bed for my cat with kidney disease. Sometimes he'll leak or full-out empty his bladder, and this has been a blessing for my mattress. It's large enough and soft enough that when he does make a mess, he'll lay at the bottom of it to sort of 'make me aware'. I bought 2 of them so that I always have a fresh one handy. They wash up pretty well, too, except for some pilling along the edges. I usually use the medium heat setting in the dryer and never a problem with any 'fails'. Would definitely recommend.

In the middle of trying to potty train a toddler this is a must-have, makes life so much easier and accidents less stressful. Middle of the night can take one off put a new one on wash them in the morning so convenient.
