Can't get on with them, they bleep for all kinds of sounds.

Well they definitely work when you whistle for them. Unfortunately they are overly sensitive to all other noise and constantly beep and flash. If you can keep them in a room away from noise such as the tumble dryer or kids talking they seem to be fine.
