We purchased an outdoor freezer recently but it didn’t have a lock. My mother in law was concerned that someone might sneak into our backyard and steal or contaminate what was in the freezer (I wasn’t worried). As a good son in law, I searched and found this solution. It’s easy to setup, easy to use (yes, even by my mother in law), and has prevented any breaking into our freezer since being installed. I think she just wanted to prevent me from getting into the ice cream more than anything else. Anyhow, the lock works great and my mother in law is happy. If you’re looking for a lock like this one, this works great! Mother in law approved!

My desk lock no longer has a key so I couldn’t lock my drawers when I have a sub. These came in handy and I can set them to a code instead of having a key.

I wish there were options to flip how it's set up, we use on the fridge but due to the handle location the combo part has to go on the side and is upside down.

These locks are amazing!!!!!!! Been using them for 3 years now at work for my fridge and now I bought a couple for my microwave. And so easy to use. It has given me so much peace of mind. Highly recommend.

Good for several years until it wouldn't unlock. How does a mechanical lock forget it's combination? Because it's cheaply made I suspect. Looks like I will have to either go through 999 attempts or cut it off unfortunately.

Our garage fridge, we keep all the Popsicles in there for the summer. However, I've got a child who would always sneak in there and take popsicles. No wonder I would find popsicle wrappers and sticks everywhere. Before anyone judges that I should be watching my child. She's seven. I cannot keep an eye on her every single second of the day. You turn away for 60 seconds To take clothes out of the dryer. That's all it takes for her to grab a popsicle. You can tell them no. That they need to ask first before taking or that they can have it later. But do they ever listen? No. Not to mention, the garage freezer is where I like to keep my snacks. The one that I don't want her touching. Mommy snacks. So, it's great that I have this on the freezer now so she won't keep taking all the Popsicles and if she wants one, she has to ask. AND NOW ALL MY SNACK CAKES AND POWDERED DONUTS ARE SAFE FROM LITTLE GRUBBY CHILD HANDS! She still has access to the fridge for her snacks. She still has access to the kitchen fridge and freezer for things. But now I know she won't be going through 100 popsicles in a week because she's a sneaky little devil.

I purchased these to ensure that the sugary snacks and pastries were not being taken by our children ;) Quality is not bad. The cable clicks into a metal enclosure and you put in your code, press the button and the enclosure releases cable to provide access. When done, reinsert the cable into the enclosure and scramble the code. My 2 daughters tried to open them (without realizing they were installed) and relaxed, real quick, no more free sweets :) The instructions for the code change are easy so don't let your children find the instructions. They have been installed now for over 3 weeks and no issues at all. We have been able to limit access now and keep all freezer or fridge sweets locked away. We are happy with this product and will buy again and I will recommend. Remember, these are deterants, so if a child or adult starts ripping them as hard as they can, you will most likely break the mechanism. As well, a simple pair of industrial cutters can go through the cable. These locks are meant to deter, please don't think they are anything more than that.

Having older teens and young adults living at home our beers kept disappearing, problem solved! Works great simple to program code.

The lock is being used for a freezer at church. It was easy to install. Have not tried to rip it off to test adhesion. No complaints received after one month of use.

Those fridge that is not all flat surface, better measure the size of the lock before you purchase, I ran into this lock is no possible to put on the fridge door

the price for the quality I think is too much. it does work though, our 6yo autistic son used to open the fridge and freezer, dumped everything out. finally, we have some peace.
