I have used this product for many (many) years. It's outstanding. There are a variety of flavors from very mild to strong. So there are plenty of options based on your personal preference and tolerance for flavoring when working hard. It's not super sweet and I find it improves the palatability of water even when it's warm... I struggle to stay hydrated in warm weather by drinking warm water. That said, time will tell if the new packaging is an improvement. I struggled with the tubs because they really were not very air-tight and even with desiccant packs the mixture would cake up and become difficult to scoop. I have high hopes for the bags as I thought the zip-lock seal should be pretty air tight. Plus I can burp the excess air from the packaging after each use. That said, I got my first order the other day with the new packaging. The seal isn't very good. I can squeeze air out of the package with little effort after it's closed. However, the air doesn't seem to get back in. So time will tell. If I don't experience the same caking issue with the product I will update the review to 5 stars. By the way, some may argue that the new packaging is cheaper than the tubs. However, I think it's a potential upgrade in overall quality. Also, note that the customary measuring scoop is still included in the package. If this was done to cheapen the product and increase margins I suspect the scoop would be gone too. Updating after using the new packaging for a long time now. Zip top is hard to close but I have had zero issues and it is an awesome product always. So I am raising my review.

I love that there are no artificial sugars. Stevia is artificial and I have no idea how they convinced everyone they are natural. What a marketing campaign! I have the grape flavor. It basically tastes like a watered down gatorade. Perfect for me. I get the electrolytes I need, no artificial sugar and it’s not overly sweet. It’s very refreshing. I also bought a pack of the individual servings for on-the-go. I’m really happy I found this brand!

The mix tastes OK - it is for replenishment and works. The package size and the price works for me.

Ordered this stuff to help with hydration after bicycling in the heat. Works great for that, as well as for during work when it is in 100s. I have more energy at the end of the day after drinking this periodically through the day. I mix up about 30 ounces according to the directions. I drink a about 10 ounces in the morning, then 10 around lunch, and the last 10 at afternoon break. I can hop on my bicycle when I get home and pedal a dozen miles without feeling drained. Taste wise, it takes a bit of getting used to. If you are expecting Gatorade sweet, you won't get that. I find it perfectly balanced between taste and lack of it. When I cycle, I typically don't want something really sweet tasting. This is a perfect compromise and in fact, has a slightly salty taste to it. Yeah, there's grape there but not a huge amount of it. I like it though on my next order from Vitalyte, I think I'll try another flavor just so I can try them all and find the one that I like best.

The taste is in my opinion better than the other brands. There is no aftertaste, and it doesn't leave that sticky feeling in your mouth because there is so little sugar in it. UPDATE March 14, 2017 I continue to be a Vitalyte drinker. I put in my order once every 10 days or so. In fact, this has become a budgetary item for me. There's car insurance, groceries and then there's Vitalyte. I've now tried all the different flavors, and my favorites are orange and grape. UPDATE March 17, 2017 Be sure to buy this drink from Vitalyte Sports Nutrition because they offer the lowest price when they have it in stock. Ofttimes, third-party sellers will hike their prices as inventory goes down in order to take advantage of the moment, and I understand that it's their right to do so. But boy does it leave a bad taste in my mouth. One of the third-party sellers here on Amazon recently jacked their prices due to low inventory. But now that the inventory is up again, they've lowered their prices somewhat. Well good for them, but I'll take my business elsewhere from now on.

I have been buying this product for years! The product was called Gookingaid and transitioned to this new name… This was my go to drink for over 25+ years… I lived in San Diego, was local to the market and a great alternative to other commercial brands. Seen the brand progress, adding different flavors, packaging, from a nice container to the current bags.. we have been on auto-ship orders for years and the time has come to say goodbye….. REASONS! The changing of the packaging didn’t matter that much.. understand the need to be competitive, so understood…. then the new bag started to increase in price… understood.. but at the same time started reducing product content while maintaining same price…. I know, because I still up to this day have the original canisters that were really nice and would dump the new bag in the canister… and the product was less, while charging the same… became a bit of disappointment in a brand that I trusted, my alternative health care provider in Encinitas had recommended, was a family business and was a great product while supporting that business…. fast forward to 2026… besides the disingenuous short cut/product amount the actual product has changed!! It does not dilute as it used to and a mound of sugar like substance settles at the bottom of the cup… extremely disappointing. We have since found newer more innovative products, without naming brands that are Element intensive and better alternatives, but had always kept this coming since our kids love the flavor and a great alternative to other types of drinks… but this innovation has caused us to Stop the subscription and move on….. very disappointed on the Gooking innovators!!!

This is THE BEST electrolyte replacement there is. Fruit punch is still my favorite flavor, but this does exactly what it claims to do— Rehydrate quickly. Easy to use, mild taste, dissolves easily. Nothing extra. Just a great value and product.

Tastes good if you use 5 TBS then it’s not worth the investment. This was my “go-to” years ago then it seemed as if they switched the formula requiring more powder for the same flavor. Switched to ghost. Better value IMO.
