The best mobile phone ever
I got the One Plus 8 Pro to replace my 6 year old iPhone 6 Plus, and have to say I’ve been blown away by this. Being a staunch Apple fan with all their possible gadgets under the sun and having had an iPhone since 13 years, I have to say this phone in just amazing, in fact I’m lost for words to describe it. I have never had an Android phone and it took me sometime to get used to this platform but having used it for about 6 weeks now, I don’t think I’ll go back to an iPhone (I still have my iPhone 6 Plus which I haven’t even touched since I got this). I waited for the iPhone 12 to be released in October and was really disappointed with their specs and price. Yes, their laptops and tablets are way ahead of their competitors but when it comes to phones, they are way behind. I really took a gamble and after some research got the One Plus 8 Pro and undoubtedly this was the best decision and have to say honestly I was quite sceptical initially. I even got it for £745 from Amazon (£150 cheaper), the equivalent iPhone 12Pro costing £1200 (with a 6GB RAM and 60Hz refresh rate), which gives you 256GB of storage, 12GB of RAM and a 120Hz refresh rate. The processing/download speeds, QHD screen, graphics, text and image quality are out of the world (incredibly sharp and crisp with true to life colours - never seen in a smartphone before). Once I have the phone in my hand, I don’t ’t like to put it down. If you are used to the 120Hz refresh rate, which I’m with my iPad Pro, you will see a noticeable difference and wouldn’t want to go back. The screen size is perhaps one of the biggest in the premium phone category and its weight is hardly noticeable for its size. The quad camera is superb and so is the sound quality from the built-in speakers. The battery life is excellent and easily serves you all day on a single charge (unless of course you are watching a lot of video content). I have even got wireless charging stand/pad and this is really convenient. In fact I’m doing lot more on this than I was on my iPhone to the extent I have even stopped watching TV and watch everything on this. The face recognition is excellent but the fingerprint Sensor is a bit irritating and have to do it a few times before it recognises (sometimes doesn’t and have to enter the PIN), which is the “only” criticism I would have about this phone. I’m sure this be rectified in the One Plus 9 due to be released shortly. Overall, undoubtedly the best smartphone in all aspects and superb value for money (my honest and humble opinion). Apple - wake up, you’re a long way behind the competition to catch up. Strongly and unreservedly recommend this phone to whoever is looking to replace. You won’t regret.

Astounding upgrade from Oneplus 6
The (Amazon) purchase experience wasn't perfect, and the Covid pandemic means that third party cases are thinner on the ground than I'd hope, but this is a review of the phone itself. In effect, this phone is the highest spec computer I have ever bought myself, and while I did baulk at the price, I have had three one plus phones in the past five years, only one of which is not (due to an insurance write off, they kept the smashed handset) still in daily use by somebody, so I am confident it will last. Speed I bought this after using the oneplus 6 daily for two years, and the speed of the 8 Pro is staggering as an upgrade on a phone that to be honest I never thought of as being slow - I only bought this now because 5g is rolling out in Dundee and any speed complaints I had with the OP6 were network related - the old phone does, however, feel much less slick now that I have used the new one. I'm expecting to use this phone heavily for three years, and thereafter it will be passed on to a family member, so felt the top spec model was worth the investment - it should be running things comfortably for years. Display My previous oneplus 6 had what I thought of as an exceptionally good screen, but the 90/120hz refresh rate on the 8 Pro and the higher resolution make it seem so rough in comparison - games and videos have a slickness that makes them seem so much more real, and the hit on battery life has been much less than I feared. Camera The camera has been excellent so far, although I am not one to poke about in the settings for that, so I'm just saying that the out the box settings are excellent - it can, I am sure do much more than I could ever ask of it in that regard. Battery and charging Charging speed on my previous Oneplus 6 was incredibly fast anyway, and the battery life still excellent two years on. This phone charges even faster, and even with the highest battery drain screen resolution and refresh (using automatic brightness level), playing about with my new phone even more than I normally would, I'm getting 6 hours plus before having to top up the charge. Replacement/spare warp 30 chargers for the newer generation of phones are hugely expensive, but time phone still takes an almost as fast charge from the older generation of oneplus dash chargers, so I will wait till I leave another of them on a train before buying an extra warp charger or the wireless charging Dock! Software I love the less-is-more approach tha oneplus take to their phone software - you can add on any bells and whistles you desire from the play store, but out the box you have a clean, light, fast version of android that runs so smoothly you will wonder why the competition do things any other way. Grumbles There are a couple of wee niggles, not enough to knock a star off, but worth noting. I would have appreciated the option of a flat glass screen with the top end specs rather than the curved edges - I'm not having problems with touches at the edge where I'm holding it at all, but I don't find the curved edges to add anything functionally and they make getting a good glass screen protector harder. I knowingly bought a phone with a curved screen because I wanted all the specs otherwise, so I refuse to mark it down in a purchase review unless it causes actual problems - just for those that would likewise rather not have the curved screen, be aware that it will take more than 4 days of use to forget that it is there! On a related note, in my case I had to apply my own film screen protector to the phone on unboxing - there were two in my box, but it is a pest to get all the bubbles out, so I dread the day I have to replace the one I have put on now! Previous OP phones have all had them pre-applied, and it may be that mine was omitted by accident, but as Covid is delaying third party options the protection available as standard becomes even more important. Again following on, the included silicone case is OK, and has weathered a couple of waist height drops already but I prefer something tougher feeling and less prone to bending away from the phone to let stuff in - clear silicone lets everyone see the lovely colour of your phone, but also, after just 4 days, lets everyone see just how much fluff there is in your pocket! Overall, this is an amazing phone, at a price markedly lower than its direct competition. There are reports of some display issues using the screen at hi res/refresh but low brightness setting - I haven't experienced them, and apparently a software fix is coming for those that have. If you have saved up the pennies and can tolerate curved screens, this is an astounding piece of kit.

Awesome flagship by OnePlus
This is my second OnePlus device, having had the 7 Pro beforehand and I must say I like the direction they've taken. Except the price increase I must add, but it feels worth it. The phone looks great and feels great in the hand, and the green colour looks fabulous. You're even provided with a case to protect it, which more companies should adopt. The specs of the phone are astonishing and easily manage even the most arduous of tasks. The QHD screen and the 120hz refresh rates been massive standouts. This, like the 7 Pro also has 5g and as it becomes more prevalent, gets better and speeds increase, good for all internet users. The camera i would say is the most disappointing part, although the pictures are great, OnePlus should have gone all out like the Huawei p40 Pro or galaxy S20 range for the price. Overall though it's brilliant and I'm personally very happy with the buy. I get the feeling OnePlus will be bringing some amazing devices out over the coming years if this is anything to go by.

A very good smartphone
Very happy with this phone after upgrading from a Samsung Note 8. The phone is fast, like super fast. The camera is nice however it can be a little hazy when zoomed in but this could be user error as I am not a great photographer. The battery life isn't as good as I was expecting but I am a heavy user of the phone and it is on the go all the time. The charger is great thoigh, it charges up so fast that battery drain isn't even an issue. The onscreen fingerprint sensor is very good and fast most of the time. Sometimes it doesn't work though. I have never and will never use face recognition so I can't help you here. The selfie camera can be EXTREMELY zoomed in if you are not using the enative camera app and I can imagine some people will be unhappy about this, I however, do not care. All in all it's an 8/10 in my opinion

A great phone for a slightly higher price
There's a lot of pros and cons with phone. A lot of which you can find on other websites so I'm just going to discuss the ones that affected me more especially in comparison to the Galaxy S10 plus I traded for it. Cons It's heavier. Heavier than the S10. When you hold it you can feel what a beefy phone this is. It's not balanced perfectly either so you will have issues using it with gimbals. The camera is fine but it's not the best. It works and I've never had a complaint about it but if you have a discerning eye you can easily tell how it can be better. Accessories, especially tempered glass screen protectors made especially for the product are not easy to find. Most of the ones on the market don't fit it properly and I ordered a Whitestone dome glass one ages ago and it has yet to arrive. Software has a few annoying niggles. Android 11 isn't out for the phone yet. You have to choose to transfer files everytime you connect it to your PC. The macro camera is so useful but doesn't have enough resolution to function as little more than a hobby camera. If you're coming over from Samsung there's no way to transfer Samsung notes. This is more Samsung being butts about it than oneplus but still. No micro SD card expansion. This one definitely hurts. Pros So so so fast. I'm not just talking about the 120hz screen. The file storage system is so fast. Apps install in minute. Restating this phone is super fast. Nothing ever lags. Everything just works. It runs like a dream. 256gb of storage. Yes, the lack of micro SD card storage is a minus but super fast 256gb storage is a great counterpoint. Copying files is fast. Downloading them is fast. Starting apps is fast. This thing is a beast. 40w wireless charging. Yes, the wireless charger is a separate purchase but it's sooo worth. With it the phone charges as fast as when it's plugged in. You're basically done charging after leaving it on there for about an hour and it charges slowly when you're sleeping. Plus it works with other phones too just not as fast. It's awesome. I love screen. The HDR10 and HDR conversion software makes everything look beautiful. I know the camera on this phone is good not great but the ultrawide is amazing and the speed of the auto focus makes it soooo worthwhile. The battery is as expected. It lasts all day. You'll rarely every run out and the battery saver options are exceptional. It won't outdo any expectations but it'll last 2 days if you use it moderately. It's dual SIM. Good for when you're travelling. Call quality is great. The speakers on this phone are fantastic and I've never lost 4G connectivity, which is something I experienced a lot on the iPhone X. Overall it's a great purchase. If you don't care about the wireless charging and can do with 128gb of space go with the non pro model. But the wireless charging feature with the OnePlus charger is such a huge game changer. With almost every other box getting ticked I don't see why this phone shouldn't be your next purchase.

Best phone of the year, no competition
The phone is everything the hype said it was its the fastest phone I have ever had when you search for something it is instantly there. The screen is absolutely amazing could not ask for a more clear image, it feels really well made solid and the green colour is very stylish. All in all that phone is worth every penny it costs. The only negative thing and it is a minor point it doesn't come with a screen protector installed, they do put two in the box but both of mine had writing across the middle also there was a solid green line right across the middle from left to right, totally unusable so will have to buy new ones. Apart from that the phone is brilliant if you want a flagship phone that is a good deal cheaper than its rivals (Samsung s series and i phone series) then you can't go wrong with the ONEPLUS 8 PRO.

Best OnePlus phone yet! (Excellent value at this price point)
Exceptional phone. Best value for money right now. Arguably the best OnePlus phone to date. The battery life is giving me an average of 8hrs of screen-on time (with both the 120Hz and Quad HD display on). The screen is fantastic with the brightness being the best it's been. The camera is pretty solid for what it is and can definitely stand toe-to-toe with other flagships. The fingerprint sensor is fast and efficient, but honestly doesn't register input at times. This is annoying, but by no means a deal-breaker. Also, it's blindingly bright in pitch-black surroundings so if you want check your phone suddenly upon waking at night you might not like that light shining in your eyes. Value for money is great at this price point. And it's now 50£ cheaper than it was a week ago. If you're looking for a flagship phone with great features at a great price, this is pretty much it.

Great Phone
Only arrived yesterday, my last phone was a Samsung S9 and compared to that this is amazing. I have been an Samsung galaxy user since the Galaxy S2 and change my phone every two years, however, this seems to be the biggest jump in tech that I have experienced. This is my first Oneplus phone and so far I have to say this is an incredible phone fast, great screen yet holdable, even comes with a case! Obviously the screen at 120hz is excellent but so is the software. Face recognition is blisteringly quick and all the tweaks I need are there. The camera so far seems fine but I've yet to have time to really try it out, but it is very intuitive. I have been waiting for a while to change my phone as there always seems to be a better one on the horizon and am really pleased with it, I almost never write reviews but felt I had to for this.

Ottimo prodotto
Smartphone top in tutto, veloce e reattivo, senza impuntamenti o lag. Spedizione Amazon impeccabile come sempre.

Potencia
Es de lo mejor que existe en smartphones aunque podría tener una mejor relación calidad precio, el valor agregado está en el ciclo de actualizaciones y las altísimas prestaciones.
