Fixed color issue!!
Pink color fix!! Almost every tutorial there is for installing any pi camera it tells you to change the frames per second(fps) to 60 or higher. I turned my camera to 60 fps and instantly got color issues. I turned the settings down to the default 15fps and the quality is excellent! Camera works perfect if you know how to program it correctly, this is a good product! Camera focus is a twist left or right on the physical lens!

Camera ok, but produces pink hue
As the others mentioned here, this camera is for night vision only, and will not produce correct colors when used in the daylight. It should have been mentioned in description. I specifically ordered this camera because I wanted one without pink hue

A nice cam, and I got rid of the pink
I bought this cam before I knew about IR filters and NOIR... so this cam is nice for low light, but for anyone struggling with very pink video when it's during the day and bright light is coming in the room, I've used this tuning file to get the colors back to something more reasonable: /usr/share/libcamera/ipa/rpi/vc4/imx708_wide_noir.json. I don't know if this is the exact right one for this camera module (there's other NOIR tuning files in the same directory), you can pass the tuning file on the command line, or in my case I have it set in the config file for mediamtx.

Epic for low power robots
It appears to not have an infrared filter which is absolutely amazing for my use case, as you can see in the first image that's being used to track the charging dock. However, the world is this very strange and unintelligible pink thing outside. That's completely fine by me, he's a robot after all. I just put it in a robo sapien's chest, it worked good, it's great for the money and since it's 5 megapixels it won't melt my raspberry pi zero 2W and Google coral That's inside of my copper and plastic sandwich from the underworld. Works good, doesn't require that much processing power. I like it. Very good for my specific use case. You can even see the tips of the claws when they are pulled inward, and you can also see the tips of the feet. This adds some sort of encoding to the robot. It adds enough that I was willing to just ditch the original encoders because they were so complicated.

This does not have an IR filter, the product description is inaccurate
The image is pink because the camera does not have an IR filter over the sensor. The product listing does not say that this is the case. Changing to grayscale will not help this issue, as the unfiltered IR light would be impossible to completely focus.

Fits in Pi Zero case with modification
You can fit this in a standard Pi Zero case if you widen the hole for the lens. Twist the lens to focus the camera. If this is a NOIR model you will have a pink tint to the image during the day, you can apply "gray world" to the settings and correct it somewhat.
