Backed by a tight band that includes her brother, Ricky, and his daughter, Scarlett, Kim indicates that the tracks are arranged in a way that brings the listener to the concert itself. Included on this release are some of her earlier tracks including "Bladerunner (personal fave), "Words Fell Down", and "Water on Glass". What strikes the listener on these tracks is how the arrangements have evolved giving them a current, broader feel and a maturity that only comes with time. This is a great showcase of the art of Kim Wilde and her family - well done, and at the top of the pop game. One of the lines from a current release, "Pop Don't Stop" reflects "....and what was old is new again, yeah...". No question about it. Well done. Aliens: Live is a fantastic album!
This is a fantastic album! From the opening track to the closing of the album, I fully enjoy every song! It is great to have a live album by Kim Wilde, one of my favourite pop-stars from the 80s! I'm not really a live album fan, but I'm a huge Kim Wilde fan, so I bought it. WOW! Great show! The sound is really good and I've listened to the album multiple times. I only wish Kim would tour in the USA.

Terrific Live Album
The first official live album from Ms Wilde and worth the wait. She's in great voice, the musical arrangements are tight, and the recording effectively captures the concert. Great stuff!

So pleased with this album. It has all the songs performed at last year's Here Come The Aliens tour. The songs are in the order in which they were performed so it is like being at the concert again. Each track was recorded at a one of the venues where Kim and her band performed. It's brilliant, a lot of live albums are rough around the edges but not this one, it sounds great I highly recommend it to any Kim fan.

Ce premier live Album de Kim Wilde est une pure merveille... Un must have! Le son, les arrangements live des concerts et surtout la quasi totalité de l'album "Here Come des Aliens" qui est un album parmi les meilleurs de l'artiste. On réécoutera avec nostalgie certains de ses titres phares comme Cambodia, You keep me hanging on, Bladerunner, Chequered love etc On ne s'en lasse pas... This first Kim Wilde live album is a beauty! A must have! The sound, the live concert arrangements and especially the almost entire "Here come the Aliens" album which is one of her best. We hear again with pleasure some of her greatest songs like Cambodia, You keep me hanging on, bladerunner and chequered love.......can't get enough !

欧州では今も人気絶大なんだ、と納得してしまう良盤。 コース料理を注文したら、出てくる皿が全部ステーキで そのソースがそれぞれ違い食べ易い、、という第一印象。。 全19曲（2cd）で最新アルバム「here come the aliens」から９曲、残りの10曲も「keep me hangin`on」を筆頭に聴き覚えのあるメロディーばかり。 スタジオ盤とは明らかに違いエネルギッシュで生きた音色を楽しめ、既存の音しか聴いていない耳には非常に新鮮で妙に嬉しくなるアレンジ。 曲ごとに場所が違うことから、その時のベストトラックをピックアップしているのが解り、その繋ぎ方も違和感なく自然で 録音状態も悪くない。 新旧織り交ぜた選曲は、ダンス方向に走らず、ロック色が濃い所もライブには向いているし、あまり変わっていない写真を見る限りパワフルさも健在。 もしかしたら全盛期よりパワーアップしているのかも、、と思わせる。 今年一番の掘り出し物、、と言ったら失礼か…お勧めです。

KIM WILDE – Aliens Live, 2019 Live-Alben waren in den 70er und 80er Jahren sehr beliebt, aber das ist halt schon eine Weile her. Ich denke da z.B. an MADE IN JAPAN (Deep Purple), ALIVE I+II (Kiss), UNLEASHED IN THE EAST/PRIEST...LIVE! (Judas Priest), LIVE AFTER DEATH (Iron Maiden) und THE EAGLE HAS LANDED I+II, die waren alle auf ihre Art was Besonderes und es war egal ob da geschummelt wurde (bei den meisten) oder nicht, aber das Endergebnis war atemberaubend. Heutzutage, bei so Konkurrenzformaten wie DVD, BluRay und natürlich auch Internet (YouTube usw.), wo dann das Visuelle oft überwiegt, haben es CD und Vinyl schon etwas schwerer was den Stellenwert angeht, aber Schuld ist natürlich auch diese Lieblosigkeit mit denen viele dieser neuen Live-Alben zu kämpfen haben. Ein Konzertfeeling kommt bei vielen neuen Veröffentlichungen gar nicht erst auf. Neuestes Beispiel - THE EAGLE HAS LANDED – 40 LIVE! von Saxon. Die Songs sind toll, keine Frage, aber die Sound-Qualität ist unterschiedlich und die Setliste aus vielen unterschiedlichen Konzerten zusammengestückelt, wahres Live-Feeling kommt da nicht auf. Was das jetzt mit KIM WILDE zu tun hat ist schnell erklärt, ALIENS LIVE ist für mich seit langer Zeit wieder so ein besonderes Album geworden und es ist ihr erstes Live-Album. Die Aufnahmen stammen allerdings auch aus vielen verschiedenen Konzerten, trotzdem ist die Live-Atmosphäre aber sehr gut und Kim klingt um einiges rockiger als im Studio. Kim Wilde ist und war nie eine dieser 80er Jahre Gesangs-Diven wie z.B. Diana Ross, sie besitzt auch keine Rock-Röhre wie Alannah Myles, aber ihre Stimme ist dennoch „unique“ und live kommt sie gesanglich sicher nicht perfekt, dafür aber umso charmanter und absolut authentisch rüber. Vom letzten Album HERE COME THE ALIENS werden gleich 9 Songs dargeboten, die restlichen 10 Positionen in der Setliste bleiben den Klassikern vorbehalten und so wird sich ALIENS LIVE noch sehr lange in meinem CD-Player drehen. Punkte: 7,00 von 7,00 Live Klassiker!
