Very happy with this bell. It works every time, the faster the train goes past the louder it rings. It has a pleasant ding sound. It makes playing trains more fun for the kids as it adds fun sound to the train play. The trains that go buy activate the bell with the metal part on the wheels of the train, clever. Another fun fact is that the bell rings multiple times the longer your train is! We have both Brito and IKEA trains and they all work. I just wish the bell was a little louder, but it’s ok as you can clearly hear it. As a side note, ever since we discovered Brio train pieces we don’t buy any other brand! I used to think all brands were the same, they look similar after all. However when you truy Brio stuff you will see why it’s so much more expensive. The quality is truly worth it in my opinion.

This is pretty small but fits any wooden track. My grandson is 4 and loves anything to do with trains. It's a good addition for a wooden track. The bell rings but barely makes a sound if any.

My toddler loves it! Makes a very nice, light, non-annoying ding when each wheel of the Brio train engine/cars we have pass by. It's a mechanical bell, it sounds like a bell, not like anything electronic. If you want something loud, skip this and look for something that takes batteries. Be aware, if you have a mix of different trains, the Thomas engines don't really make the bell ding due to the differences in the wheels - the wheels just aren't wide enough. Highly recommend if you hate loud electronic toys and are using mostly Brio train engines and cars. It fits nicely with our Thomas track but I'm so impressed with the quality we will probably be buying Brio parts and pieces from now on, especially since the Thomas stuff is getting much harder to find.

I recently purchased a Brio train set for my little one. It gets played with all the time! Love the quality. This bell was a wonderful addition to the Brio Rollercoaster set we have as we put it at the bottom of the coaster so the bell rings every time the cart goes down. However, I was hoping the bell would be more of a "ding" sound. Ours sounds muffled and barely rings with no reverberation. Maybe it's defective...? Maybe that's how it's supposed to be...? I don't know. Still a great addition!

This little addition is perfect to add a different sound to the track. When the train passes the tower the bell will ring, sometimes faintly, but it rings. It is a good addition to the Brio set for the price. My grandson is almost 3 and it was age appropriate for him.

The bell is barely audible and the unit is very small, so despite the high quality of Brio products, it is overpriced.

As a mom to five little ones, our Brio train set and all of its accessories have been our MOST used and MOST loved toy ever. I have a 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 year old and some one is ALWAYS creatively building and playing with the train set. The accessories are SO high quality and durable and well worth the price. The perfect gift!

Super addition to my son's existing collection of Brio train system. Imagination and creativity at its best. It makes a small tinkling sound when the train moves along the lever. Good with battery operated train engines too.

My son loves this bell. It works with wooden trains that have the magnetic wheel covers. If you have plastic trains it won’t work as the magnet won’t be activated. The sound is also just a small ding and not annoying for the parents. Good purchase for my sons train set.

Item came as described, added to existing track and works wonder. Everytime the train passes by, the metal button on train wheels will attract the magnet of the device to come forward thus striking the bell "ding".

Aunque podría sonar más se entiende, hace su función y da su toque.
