KUROBARA 100% Pure Tsubaki Japanese Knife Maintenance Camellia Oil (3.4 oz)

Great for Japanese blue steel, woodworking /carving tools, and general knife maintenance, this tea seed oil is non-toxic, safe around food and can be used as a mild moisturizer. A little goes a long way in coating blade steel. The oil is quite viscous and slick; it’s easy to use but will get all over everything if you’re not careful… not the end of the world as it makes an excellent hand moisturizer. Comes in a dropper container that helps dispense in controlled amounts; I would suggest keeping the inner bottle seal cap for storage in the fridge unless you use the oil a lot. Kurobara oil can be found in spray bottles too but this dispenser makes for less mess and waste.

Works great! I use it on my Damascus knives to keep them from rusting. Also have used it as a lube for small moving metal parts and it works great for that as well! I can imagine it would be great for sewing machines and the like.

Great oil for small tool like pliers as well as knifes/blades. A single drop goes a long way. The price might seem high but this bottle will last a long time if used properly. The cap keeper is a nice touch. Please note, there is a proper plastic plug that needs to be removed before use, be careful, use a fingernail to remove it while holding it firmly with paper towels. If you spill this stuff on your floor, you’re going to have a bad day.

I reapply to my knife as needed to avoid rust spots. As long as I don't forget to do that, no rust comes. Works! Just put a few drops on each side of the blade, and rub all over with your finger carefully. Bottle is nice and small.

First time using this oil. Looks to be good quality. Easy to apply, but not easily absorbed onto metal. Had to work a bit to get the right consistency. Good supply. Recommend this item.

I'm excited to find out how well this oil protects my expensive Damascus steel blades. Goes on easy, no scent, I think it's highly recommended.

Not cheap but brilliant, light, plant-based oil for looking after your knife blades and lubing any joints, especially on wooden-handled, folding knives like Opinels. It is especially good for knives you use with food, where mineral oils might not be a great idea and it looks after carbon steel blades really well.
