Solid. Superbly heavy duty. Extremely well-built. The packaging makes a nice carrying case. Everything is well-thought-out and I have no doubt this will provide years of service. Love the lights in the plugs - they are handy.As with any "downgrading" cable, please use with the appropriate caution. If you are using a round plug like this, it is probably plugging into a 30A-rated/30A-fused socket on your generator or power source. Nothing beyond that plug and the first bit of wire are capable of safely handling 30A. The two outlets are rated for 20A each and not fused. It's up to YOU to make sure you aren't pumping 30A through one of them.90% of us will then plug a 50-foot 14- or even 16-gauge extension cord into it to get the power delivered to somewhere useful. Because let's be real - this is something most of us will use temporarily to deliver power from a temporary generator to places inside the house during a power outage. That means you have an extension cord that is rated somewhere between 13A (14-gauge under 50 feet) and 7A (16-gauge over 50 feet) taking power from a plug that is rated at 20A, which in turn is fed by a 30A source. If something short circuits or you plug too many things in, very bad things will happen. Fuses, even the push button ones found in cheap power strips, are your friends.

After a lot of research,reading the reviews and really making sure of what I needed,I ordered from Amazon: the Coleman Cable 01915 Power cord Y splitter adapter with the L5-30P (plug) on one end and the twin lighted 5-20R (receptacles) on the other end.I was very impressed with the quality of this monster cable; it is made of 10 gauge wire and can carry 600 volts,excellent outer jacket for all kinds of weather.The rugged connectors on either side are very well made on this beast. This cord fits the L5-30R (twist-receptacle)of my newly purchased generator and, on the other end, the two Leviton 4937 weatherproof,flush mount inlet male,straight blade receptacles,(that I also ordered) so that I can install them on the side of my house and not have extension cords hanging out of partially opened doors or windows in the cold winters of NY.All items arrived in 4 business days,without a hitch,and best of all free delivery!.Extremely pleased with my entire order, Thanks.

I needed a 30amp power cord to give me more plug in options off my inverter/generator. This is a high quality cable that locks into my 30amp plug and splits out to a pair of 20amp plugs.

The lighted plugs make it easy to not forget if connected to outside power

It is exactly as you see it here and would expect it to be, unless you're unreasonable. It is well made, fits securely into the receptacle as expected, and both heads light up when power is available. You can plug two normal plugs into the receptacle heads, and it appears to be robust enough to handle the advertised amperage, although I haven't put it through much stress, so I suppose there's a small chance looks could be deceiving and it might burst into flames if you put that much current through it. I doubt it, though.

I bought this to use with my A-iPower 2000i generator. It works perfectly and is holding up well. There's not much more to say.

I bought this because my new champion generator puts out there majority of its power through a 30a 110v twistlock connector.This converts that rv style outlet to 2 usable 110v 15a outlets.Both outlets are lit as well.This product comes tightly coiled and wants to stay coiled until its warmed up.Lay it in the hot sun on concrete or your deck, then it should be more pliable.It also does not plug snuggly or actually lock in to my generator.You can see about 1/4" of the exposed conductors between the outlet and plug body.I don't know if its the generator or this cable that's out of spec, but it is annoying.However its the only solution available outside of making my own cable, and the cable itself seems good quality as well as matching the paint scheme of my champion genset.

Works perfectly for a 30 amp hookup to a generator.

For use with a new inverter generator, this cord is just right. Love the lights reminding me when a circuit is drawing power.
