THis is my 3rd stethoscope from MDF. I just needed a new color is all. Its very durable and the sound quality is excellant!

I love this! I needed something that was high quality, but not too fancy or too pricy. This was perfect. *UPDATE* I'm rough on my equipment. After 6 months, I still love it. It's held up to my abuse and the replacment parts for life are such a win. The turn around on the parts is about 2 weeks and they haven't asked me to pay for shipping. The quality of sound is fantastic. I think I would need to go digital to get any improvment.

I'm a 3rd year med student and I keep one at home to take BP, listen to lungs, and practice with. I have a Littman Cardiology IV and ADC 600 Cardiology (which I think is best and have used to pick up murmurs and bruits in a clinical setting) and it's not fair to directly compare this stethoscope to those. BUT, for $40 bucks, this thing is great. It's quite loud, especially for breath sounds. And the headset is comfortable.

So I've practiced medicine for a couple decades and have been happy with my first and only stethoscope every, a Littman Master Cardiology 2. When my wife became an EMT this year, I tried what they had given her and found that not only could I hear nothing, the hard plastic ear pieces hurt. I wanted to get her something great but not lay out a couple hundred for it. I always thought, you get what you pay for. With the MD One, that's a lot. I've tried using it on a number of days and side by side with the Littman. Sound quality is great and captures both highs and lows. Not much noise from tube movement or spring, like old Sprague Rappaport designs. While it lacks the panache of the premium Littman, as well as it's heft, it more than makes up for it in it's abilities, lighter weight, and price. The MD One is not a "cheaper version" of a better tool nor is it a compromise in any way. It is an excellent choice for an all around stethoscope that should last as long as any others costing twice the price. Had I not received my Master Cardiology as a gift, early in my career, I may well have chosen the MDF instead. I have no regrets having presented my wife with it and have been impressed by its quality, design, and function.

Works well, long enough. The acoustic performance is better than I had hoped.

Amazing! Was never too sure about MDF as I've always had litmanns but this is just as good! Plus their colours and bright which I like. Will definitely be sticking with MDF now, also great value for money!
