I've been using this product for years on my prematurely gray hair and I love the results. It covers my gray completely and people think this is my natural color. It doesn't damage my hair (I use a deep conditioner after I color) and it has a nicer smell than drug store hair color.

0 STARS! I’ve used Clairol Nice'n Easy Permanent natural looking color with 100% gray coverage for 40 years. I use the 9, 10, and 11 blonde colors on my roots to get different highlights and ALWAYS RECEIVED COMPLIMENTS about how great my hair looks. ~I have long hair down to my low back and it was always shiny, highlighted and in great condition. ~Since I now have more gray I decided to try a Clairol NN product and found Clairol Professional Soy4Plex in 9NN with Clairol Professional 20 Volume Developer. ~The color was a little darker than I’d like, but it looked great the first two days. By the third day, you could see the gray and my hair was so dry and brittle. ~ Three weeks later, I thought maybe it was just the extra cold winter making my hair dry.. I gave Clairol Professional Soy4Plex in 10 NN a try. Well, it did not cover the gray, and my hair is now so dry and brittle, it’s breaking, and it comes out by the brush-full. I keep trying different conditioning treatments but no improvement yet. UGH ~ Thank God, my hair is somewhat thick hair and I still have some left… but it’s damaged for the first time of my life. Clairol professional Soy4Plex DESTROYED my hair and did not cover the grays. *I am going back to Nice n Easy permanent hair color in the box (with the conditioner tube) and hopefully my hair returns to the way it was and covered the gray enough for me. ~ I will contact Clairol and demand a refund for the Soy Plex and something to repair my hair. 🤞

I’ve use this for a while ran out so quick need larger size

Two out of three bottles of 9NN purchased through Amazon did not have the normal pigment causing unfortunate coloring outcome. Not sure if there was a random defect in manufacturing these bottles or I received mislabeled products. Will go back to buying it at my local hair supply store. Never have had this problem over many years of purchasing locally.

The new boxes don’t say covers gray. Will try it out. I don’t think this is the same formula.
