We have a Whirlpool fridge and it stopped making ice over the weekend. The ice maker would not take in any water and would sporadically click/pop very loudly. Cleaned everything out, made sure fill tube wasn't frozen.Googled the part number which lead me to Amazon and this listing. It arrived next day. Super easy to install, 6 screws and less than 5 minutes of work. Within an hour we had ice again!

The ice maker was delivered promptly and it was a perfect replacement. It was simple to install and worked great. Very good, comparable price.

I bought this after the factory tray broke after 18 months. This tray lasted only two months. The sensor on the bottom of the tray broke off leaving a hole in the bottom of the tray and now water just pours through the bucket, out the dispenser and onto the floor.

Found ice maker parts in Fridge ice dispenser. Went online to Whirlpool, got part number. Entered part# at Amazon, many suppliers. Supplying Demand had a good price & next day delivery. Less than 24 hours later ice maker is on my doorstep. 10 min. to replace, we have ice. Wife is happy, our dog is happy (she likes ice in hot weather) and I look the hero.

This perfectly replaced the faulty ice maker in our Whirlpool WRS555SIH side by side fridge. No instructions came with, but found a couple of YTube vids; replaced mine in less than 10 minutes. Mine started making ice within an hour and now the bin is full.Thanks SD and AmazonEdited: It stopped working just before its 30-day replacement period!! We were away for a weekend and didn't realize the ice bucket was less than half full. It's no longer allowing water into the ice tray, like the original part.

ice machine conked on our kitchenaid. Popped this lil dude in there and I had crushed ice in a couple of hours. Winner!

I replaced our ice maker with this model about a year ago. It was easy and worked great. The ice maker just died again and started only making ice sporadically. I thought I needed to buy another unit, but after reading another review here about wires broken at the bottom of the freezer door I realized that that is my problem now. Our fridge is only 3 years old and we are so frustrated. Check the bottom outside corner of your freezer door and look at the wires before you buy another ice maker. I’m very disappointed in Whirlpool, this seems like a design flaw!
