Great Tool Bag, Great Customer Service
When I ordered this tool box, it shipped to me without the removable partition or shoulder strap. I contacted the company and within 24 hours the missing parts were on their way to me (granted it will take a few extra days for them to arrive). I am slightly irritated I had to do anything since I wanted to use the tool box right away, but I definitely appreciate CLC quickly fixing the error and it was much better and quicker than having to ship it back to Amazon and wait for a new one. Now for the tool box itself. I am an advanced DIY guy, and do a little light machining as part of my job, so I was looking for a tool box that could easily carry a 115-drill bit set, a few Plano 3500 series compartment boxes (which, by the way, fit great in the two larger end pockets), callipers, dial indicators, and a random assortment of other tools and stock. This tool bag is light, which means it remains manageable even when loaded down with stuff, unlike the all steel boxes I was also looking at. The pockets are for the most part useable for typical tools, although I wish the two smaller end pockets were the same as the larger end (small pockets are on the tape measure clip end). The material seems to be well stitched together, the handle is comfortable (although I'll have to see how the foam holds up in the long run...), the frame feels sturdy without any noticeable flex, and overall it seems well made. Some things in particular: - The pen pockets are mounted high up; pro: you can always get to your pen/scribe, con: a sharpie sticks up above the end wall. - As pointed out in other reviews, the bottom is cloth, so if you carry heavy, odd shaped things, fitting a piece of 1/4 ply to the bottom is helpful if you use the movable divider. - It does not have velcro straps on the two ends (like the similar Home Depot box) for strapping a long level or blueprints or welding rods to - I may try to retrofit this myself. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I personally would not hesitate buying another CLC product or recommending this tool box to a friend based on my experience so far.

Very large. Fits lots of tools
Great tool bag. Very sturdy with lots of various sized pockets. I had been looking for something bigger than most tool bags I has been finding and this fit the bill perfectly. Even with quite a few tools in it, it is still very sturdy and the handle is strong and the bag is easy to carry. Easy to organize all of my tools for quick access with all of the interior and exterior pockets.

Good balance of weight, size, versitility and Ruggedness.
Has the size and space for almost all my gardening gear. I have a number of carrying cases I use for handyman work, gardening, and the gym, large and small. This one being open and rugged with so many pockets and relatively light is perfect for my gardening. The pockets fit all the tool sizes, withthe exception of the mini shovels. The mini shovel can be up to 2 ft in length so it pokes out, but it accomadates even several longer tools. When full it can get a bit heavy, but that would be expected on any large bag used for this purpose. i need to be able to reach my tools without fishing through piles of instruments. This bag does it. I can add smy grass cutters along with my weed and digging gear.

Works well enough
This tool bag works well enough for my needs. The 20-inch size gives me plenty of space for my hand tools, and the 27 pockets make it easy to keep things organized without digging around. The open-top design is convenient when I need to grab something quickly, and the handle feels sturdy enough for everyday use. The material isnโt as rigid as a hard case, so it can sag a little if itโs not fully loaded, but thatโs expected from a soft-sided bag. The shoulder strap is a nice bonus for carrying it around job sites. Overall, itโs practical, holds up well, and makes staying organized much easier. If youโre looking for something simple and effective without breaking the bank, this bag does the job.

Holds more than I want to carry
Just the family and block handy guy. This is a great bag Lots of pockets to work with and an adjustable panel in the bottom . Got sealants and goo tubes in the short side , hammers ,pipe wrenches, clamps 14" saw and such in the long side, usually 40 to 50 pounds, dont carry it much but does carry well. it takes up about half the floorboard space behind the drivers seat of my ext.cab and organizes the tools very well there for loading a tool belt. Every thing seems to stay where I put it. Its a pretty tough bag and has held up well for a year now with no complaints. Dog didnt complain about her space back there so we're good !

CLC FTW!
I have 2 CLC tool bags so far but ran out of space in those and decided to purchase this one to hold my power tools (drills, sander, router, etc.). As usual, the "boxy bag" is well built and seems like it will stand the test of time just like my other 2. The pockets on the outside or useful but abit tight which makes it harder to store somewhat larger hand tools (not a nuisance enough, however, to make me take away a star for this review). The center compartment is big enough to hold the power tools I need it to without it making the bag feel too big and clumsy. Its nice that it comes with a shoulder strap, though I cant see myself using it at any point. The handle feels very strong and sturdy so you dont need to worry about it breaking away from the mostly fabric box bag. All in all, its a bit expensive but definitely worth the price. I will continue to buy Custom LeatherCraft bags and boxes to store my tools in in the future. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps, Jacob

Best Storage for Neurotic Organizer!
I'm a General Contractor who personally still does most of the trades on each project. I have a Utility truck loaded up with all of the power tools, but I also use use an assortment of tool bags and boxes to organize the many hand tools and parts that I bring into a house for the various phases of a remodel. Right now, I am using this 1579 for an Electrical bag. It is big, but it holds almost all of my electrical tools along with many of the small cylindrical containers filled with small electrical parts. I'm getting ready to set up another one with a large assortment of carpentry hand tools and parts that I use for most remodeling tasks. I would set up another for plumbing stuff, but right now I'm happy with a Klien bucket organizer for that. I have a lot of tool boxes and bags that I have accumulated over the years (including a Veto XL and a Veto OT XXL), but if I could only keep one, it would be this 1579. P.S. I love the Veto bags for their quality, but I really prefer the layout of the CLC 1579 much, much more. I wish that Veto would copy the layout of the CLC or that CLC would come out with an "Extreme" version of the 1579 - but then it would be as heavy as the Veto bags.

Decent bag, Big; deep pockets & sturdy
I'm in the HVAC field and needed a new bag for installation tools. It works, pocket will fit large straight snips, flaring block and yoke, tubing cutters, bit kits, socket sets, hammers, 3 pipewrenches, pipe wrench extensions, 2 large crescent wrenches, bar folder ect - and hasn't disintegrated yet so that's a good sign. Well balanced with a decent handle, nice outside pockets and the divider is a nice touch. I'd buy another if this one breaks. EDIT: Coming up on a year of use two of the outside pockets had a hole in the bottom that is working its way to the main pocket. I lined the pockets that ripped with sheet metal as it was because i was putting away precision screwdrivers aggressively. I wrapp-tied the bottom together and it's been fine again since. The side pocket is a good size but feels like it could use 2 of the clear sided ones, without the plastic involved. Overall still cool bag

Tape holder broke
The tape measure clip broke upon first use (may have already been broken.) The second fastener came off with a light pull. The same fasteners were used for the handles, so I don't have too much faith in them. Probably not worth the price.

Best tool bag I've ever owned
As a residential service plumber being able to carry my tools in and out is a big deal and I like to have 1 big bag with a shoulder strap like this one. This bag is bigger than the dewalt bag I used to use and has many more pockets than anything milwaukee has come out with. The middle optional divider tends to slide up, making it a moot point and I reinforce all my straps with hose clamps on the main handle bar because I don't trust those small clips that hold the ends to the bag. This is definitely the best bag I've ever owned in my 10 years of doing this and I hope by the time this thing breaks I'll be able to find it again and get another one. The pockets are perfectly sized and there's lots of em for my larger tools and drill bit cases. 12/10 very happy with this one. Update** It lasted just over 2 years before the handle broke. That's impressive for me. I am brutally hard on my tool bags since I lug around about 60-85lbs of tools everywhere in and out of the van multiple times a day. I just bought another as a spare and I'm going to see if I can make a new handle out of some redi rod or rebar or something else.

Big and nice
Excellent bag. A true 20" at the base plus outside pockets on each end, making it even longer. It's big. No more taking out everything to find something. It's a bit pricey but got it on sale.
