Aquatop O-Ring Silicone Lubricant – Essential for Filter Maintenance – Controls Leaks & Smooth Operation – Canister Filters & Aquarium Equipment

Don't let the picture fool you. The product's container is tiny but the lubricant goes a long way. You don't need much to do the job, plenty left for future use. I bought this after my Fluval aquarium pump started leaking. The pump has worked great for many years but the seal between the removable top and filter canister started to leak. If you google for solutions there are many how to videos that say to use vaseline to lubricate the large rubber o-ring seal. Doing further research I found warnings that petroleum based products such as vaseline eventually break down rubber. This lubricant is especially made to be correct for this use. I tried a new O-ring without lubrication. I had to force the cover on and it still leaked. Using the lubricant it fit snug but no forcing and no leaking.

Pay attention to the photo showing this product at the size of a quarter -- it truly is. I missed this when ordering. This is very expensive for the amount you get. I hope this tiny amount works & for more than one filter, which I doubt for such a small amount. Also, it leaked in its package.

Product is in a better container than the other brand L ..... that comes in a very very small tube. Aquatop has screw off top easy to get out silicone, not like brand L ..... Aquatop cost more but worth it, you get more silicone than brand L .... Customers may complain about silicone outside the container which is packed in plastic bag I assume comes from them not wiping off container before putting in bag, silicone is not leaking out of container because container is a screw on top. Item size is exactly as they advertised see picture. When opening the container do not expect for container to be full, I'm pretty sure it is half of an ounce. You do not need a lot to lubricate orings.

the smallest jar ever but works like its supposed too! I lube up everything I can on my canister filters and they work great now.

Not worth the value, very small jar

As others have mentioned the jar is extremely tiny very small amount for what you pay and the container isn’t even full. Go to a pool and spa store and purchase o ring lube there high quality and large tube.
