Gold Toe Men's Hampton Socks, 3-Pairs

Gold Toe Hamptons have been my favorite socks for over 30 years. They fit perfectly so they work well with dress shoes or business casual attire. The wider rib even makes these versatile socks look good with sneakers. I'm a very fast walker which causes most crew style dress socks to slide down and bunch up. These socks never slide down so I even wear them with low cut boots. With 76% cotton they're more comfortable than most dress socks and they continue to get softer with age. They will, however, fade over the years but I've never had a single hole or worn spot. NOTE: Avoid the Hampton style made with 32% Rayon! They were sold under the same style # and appear identical to the original cotton/nylon Hamptons but they do not hold their shape and they slide down after the first washing. You'll also have a hole in them long before they start to fade.

Gold Toe used to be a well-made, comfortable and durable sock that stayed up on my legs and lasted a long time. But they must have abandoned their quality standards or outsourced production to overseas companies that aren't properly monitored, because the socks no longer fit well, aren't comfortable and don't stay up. The toe box is sewn irregularly and the resultant seam is uncomfortable. I bought 6 pair and I don't think any two are sewn exactly alike. The sock isn't properly shaped to follow the ankle curve, so the fabric bunches up in folds at the front of my ankles and uncomfortably overlaps under the tongue of my shoes. Worst of all, the socks slide down my ankles several times a day and bunch up inside my shoes at the toes. And they don't all match. After the first washing, my wife said she was sorry but a couple socks don't match. On close inspection, the odd looking socks do have the same rib pattern, but one is much more pronounced than the other, giving the socks a very different appearance. I don't know whether they last or not, as I've only had these a few weeks, but the pairs of Gold Toe mid-calf socks I bought last winter wore out in the heels within just a few wearings. I won't be able to report on whether these Hamptons last because they aren't worth owning and I'm returning them. I'm done with Gold Toe.

These socks are perfect!! I have gone through about ten different brands and styles before landing on the Gold Toe Hampton. Most other socks are either too thin, almost slippery. Or too thick, almost like athletic socks. These are in-between, and perfect! They are well made and last long. Versatile, too. They are dressy enough to be worn with dress shoes and pants, and causal enough to be worn with more casual shoes and jeans. Love them.

Dec 2018Socks are hard to fit. I buy from a variety of suppliers w/ fingers crossed. These are working fine, just like all the others I have purchased and burned through. My top requirement is to be relatively high cotton %, and these are above 70%.Pros: Look niceCons: Normal narrow width (I need more room + less squeeze).Wish list: Increase % cotton, make a wide foot size for each rangeI will return later to report on longevity.

My husband loves these socks! They have been his favorites for at least a decade. Costco use to sell them but now they are carrying another style of Gold Toe, that doesn't work for my husband. He has larger calves and needs the more flexible band. The Hamptons and Canterbury Gold Toe are the best fit for him. We have also found that both of these 2 styles of Gold Toe seem to wash the best and last the longest.We are so glad to have found them on Amazon!

Medium thickness is just right. Good fit and they don’t allow your feet to slide in the shoe like the real thin socks.They’re definitely medium thickness, not like an athletic sock.

These are great socks with perfect blend of fibers to stay up on my chunky legs without sagging. Very durable over time and many washes. I buy them a bunch at a time to save time on the sock matching challenge. I especially like the thickness and year round weight. I wear a wide size shoe and do not need the bulk of the "fluffies". The also do well with hot sweaty feet and absorb the moisture just fine. I have worn gold toe in this fabric mix for many years and really like them above all others.

Gold Toe socks have always been my go to sock all my life. They fit well, don't sag, and last a good length of time. I usually buy them for boots as that's what I wear. But, they also have dress socks for use with dress shoes or casual shoes. The prices have gone up over the years, but what hasn't? Recommended.

Formerly a well-respected name, the product appears to have been debased in order to save money. The tops of the socks are now unfinished, resulting in loose threads and unravelling. My solution is simple - I will take my business elsewhere. Sad to see formerly high-quality names cheapened like this, but I will not be fooled again.

Der Titel sagt aus, was ich grundsätzlich über Gold Toe Socks denke. Leider außerhalb der USA kaum zu erhalten.Die Amazon-Bestellung kam dann auch aus den Staaten und brauchte ~14 Tage (wobei sie schneller eintraf als angekündigt).Einzig zu beachten: Es handelt sich hier um eine Standardgröße, d.h. bei kleinen (Männer-)Füßen fallen die Socken etwas groß aus.

Me parecieron de calidad y, en general, buenos. pero el tamaño es grande para la medida de mi pie (27 cm)

Es una lástima, hace mas de 5 años eran 95% algodón ahora se deshilaron al primer uso, la única talla que ofrecen es demasiado grande y eso que calzo del 8, no los recomiendo. tardaron 5 días en llegar.

Compré la talla del 6-12 que indicaba, lo cual encajaba dentro de esas medias al ser número 9, sin embargo, quedaron un tanto grandes. Los tuve q lavar y meter a la sacadora para q encogieran y se corrigió en un 90% el problema, espero q con las lavadas ajuste cada vez mejor. De la calidad ni que hablar, muy buen calcetín.
