I was thinking about using this in my barn so that I can hear my horses. My barn is about 200ft away from my house. Do you think it will work outside?

It says it works up to 300 ft. I've used it on my deck, but the distance is only about 75 feet.

are both the parent and baby unit cordless or just the parent unit?

Only the parent unit is cordless. Also, you cannot talk through the parent unit to the baby unit like you can with other models. We have a second older Philips model that allows this and use that feature on occasion to talk to my spouse when in the baby room.

What frequency does this run on? i need it to be ce approved for use in germany. also is it fcc approved so i can use in the us when we move back.

The monitor works on DECT frequency (1880MHz-1900MHz).

What is the voltage/ power input of the unit?

The power input is 120v/220v-240v.
