Feline Health Nutrition Kitten Loaf in Sauce Cat Food, 3 oz (Pack of 24)

We have been fostering kitties for over four years and have had about 60+ foster kitties. We have tried many, many kitten/cat food brands and have none of the success that we found in Royal Canin Kitten Loaf. Our kitties had runny stools and no additives seem to work (pumpkin, Runny-Poo, probiotics). So, I actually bought this after doing some research on kitten food. I had to chose between this product and Blue Buffalo. The only reason I chose Royal Canin Baby Loaf was because one other reviewer said this was the only kitten food for kittens under 4 months and it worked for them. So, we tried and it worked! Our kitties started to thrive and their stools firmed up. As far as taste, the kitties loved it and even after 6 weeks still got into a frenzy during feeding time. This product is quiet expensive, especially if feeding five kittens who eat every four hours or so. However, we feel that the price is worth it since we did not have to spend time/money cleaning the kitten room every day because of the runny stools. Most importantly, the kittens did awesome on this food and it is always heartbreaking to see them suffer. I don't think we will every feed our young foster kitties anything but Royal Canin BabyLoaf or Kitten Instinctive. Note: The Kitten Instinctive seemed to produce the same results but seemed a little more firm or dry while Baby Loaf was a little softer in texture.

My kitten loves to eat this wet food and runs to her bowl when she smells it. We’ve never had any digestive issues with it or diarrhea. The smell is mild but noticeable for cats. She is a growing kitten, and I think this brand has helped her put on a good amount of healthy weight. The price is pretty hefty in comparison to other more affordable cat food brands but it makes sense considering the quality of the ingredients.

I adopted a couple sick feral kittens and started feeding them this after it was recommended by my veterinarian. They weren’t eating very well and he said this has more vitamins and proteins than most cat foods. Whatever is in this, it’s making them fat, and shiny, and full of energy. They also just really like it. I mix it in with a little bit of dry food and they gobble it right up.

I bought this for my kitten, who has the refined palate of a tiny, judgmental food critic trapped in a fluff ball. According to him, this food is… acceptable. Which, in cat terms, is basically a Michelin star. The texture is more like a soft pâté/loaf than chunky bits, sitting in a light sauce. Easy for kittens to eat, especially if they’re still figuring out how chewing works. No weird smell (at least by canned cat food standards), and it doesn’t look like something from a horror movie when you open it, always a plus. Now, the real test: my kitten actually finishes it. Not just the “lick the gravy and walk away like a diva” move, he eats the whole thing. His energy is good, coat looks healthy, and he hasn’t tried to overthrow the household yet, so I assume it’s doing its job nutritionally. Downsides? It’s not cheap. You’ll definitely notice the price if your kitten decides this is “the one” and refuses to eat anything else (which they will, because cats love financial control). Also, the portion size is small, so as your kitten grows, you’ll go through cans faster than expected. Overall: great quality, kitten-approved, slightly painful for the wallet, but worth it if you enjoy being silently judged less at mealtime.

This food is always a winner!!! Kittens love it and its packed with good nutrition as well a lot of fat for kittens which they need so much at this stage of their lives. Also great for nursing mama's or adult cats that need to be fattened up a bit. I have been fostering kittens for shelters for many years and i have yet to see a kitten turn their little nose up at this product (unlike some other brands) Fantastic product would give it more stars if i could!

Quick delivery and best nutrition for my tiny rescued Kittens

Expensive but my cat adores this food. My kitten is already becoming an adult but when he was 4 weeks and done with his bottle, I put him on this. He was feral and I found him in my backyard. I found him and 3 other kittens, first I bottle fed them but once they turned 4 weeks and forced them onto cat food because I could tell the imitation cat milk was leaving them without the proper nutrients they needed. All 4 of them had eye discharge and bacteria. 2 of them had serious discharge, almost killing one of them. After they were put on this food all of them recovered, also with small dosages of antibiotics (5mg of amox). At 5 weeks old, they were playing and all ready for a home of their own.
