Exactly what you need for home winemaking — works great Pros: - Good quality wine tannin that helps add structure and body to homemade wines - 2oz jar is plenty for multiple batches - Easy to measure and dissolve - Noticeably improves mouthfeel and finish on fruit wines and meads - Airtight jar keeps it fresh Cons: - Instructions could be more specific about usage rates for different wine types - Only 2oz, so heavy users might need to buy multiples I've been making home wine and mead for a while, and wine tannin is a must-have additive. This one from North Mountain Supply does the job well. My fruit wines had noticeably better structure and balanced out the sweetness nicely. Dissolved quickly in warm water before adding to the must. Good value and reliable quality from a trusted homebrew supplier.

Worked well to dye tea towels a cream color!
This wine tannin worked great! I was using it as a mordant to dye tea towels....my dye ended up not working the way that I needed it to. But the wine tannin did exactly what it was supposed to. I loved the color that the tea towels dyed them. They are the most beautiful cream color. The tannin was sealed tight and seemed super fresh. Seemed like a lot of product for the money as well!

Added the body my mead was missing
My mead was missing body and buying a barrel was not an option. So I decided to buy tannins and I'm pretty happy with the result, the added body is exactly what I was looking for.

Quality brand!
Bought a whole range of North Mountain Supply for my first crack at wild grape wine. At the last minute decided not to add any tannin to the wine. But I have no doubt this is just as good as the reast of their products. Love that the product to gallon suggestion is right on the label, super easy to use.
