Dockers Men's Cargo Short Classic Fit D3

5'8"160 lbsI purchased the size 30 waist and I absolutely love these shorts. I like the fabric and the fit. I saw some of the other negative reviews stating that the shorts were too short, but that is the way that these shorts are supposed to fit. They fit me right to the top of the knee cap, which is what I like. When you sit down, they will recede a few inches further away from your knee cap. If this is a problem, maybe these shorts are not for you. In addition, they are somewhat form-fitting around the butt and thighs. If you are overweight, this might also be a problem. The sample model photo that is shown is an accurate depiction of how these shorts will fit.

Excellent quality, great fit and very comfortable. These look a little neater than some cargo shorts. My husband bought them for hiking, but decided that he would use these as his "good" shorts and wear his older shorts for his daily hikes. The shorts washed well and didn't shrink at all.

The key to good cargo shorts are cargo pockets that lay reasonably flat and don't distort after washing. Dockers has at least a couple of models that fit this bill and this particular one is among them. NO VELCRO - that is key. Velcro closures on cargo shorts guarantee that the shorts will look like you have saddlebags on your legs after you wash them. These shorts have a button closure and material that holds the pocket shape.I love them and highly recommend them!

I bought these for my husband and they fit him nicely. They a bit slimmer cut than a regular cargo pant but look great. The only thing is that the button hole on the waist band is a bit big for the button which causes the button to come undone by itself. Not really a big problem to fix since I know how to sew, but that is the reason I rated it 4 instead of 5 stars.

This was exactly what we had hoped for as far as size and length. Docker pants have always fit my husband well (he is short and stalky), and so we tried these for the first time to see if the shorts would fit him also. We were not disappointed. The almost-perfect-but-not score comes from the color of the shorts--as with other Dockers items, they lose color quickly, and so what came in as a navy-ish color, after a summer's worth of use is now what people would refer to as graphite color. But we purchased it knowing they would fade and so we got a darker shade. We are still pleased with the fit

I normally wear a 34 in Dockers. Tried the 34 the first time and they fell down around my knees. Sent it back for a 33 with almost the same results. ended up with a 32 which I haven`t worn since HS. The 32 fit. Like the shorts and would have given 5 stars except for the problem having to send back multiple times.

I first bought some Levi's cargo shorts, the obvious similar product, before i bought these Dockers. I was happy with the heavier material of the Levi's but dissappointed by the pockets. For me, the pockets are often the "make or break" of pants or shorts. The Levi's pockets were narrow, shallow, and also had a dividing piece of material that made it difficult to put anything in the pocket. The Dockers, while thinner material, had a deeper and wider pocket and although there was a divider in the pocker, it was much smaller. I don't know the point of these dividers, they make the pocket more difficult to use. Dockers used to have none, but at least it was a small one.
