I read most of the Amazon reviews for Pura Vida slings before purchasing, so I had some idea of the quality craftsmanship that goes into these slings, as well as the ethics and communication practiced by the company. I was pleasantly surprised when my expectations were met and even exceeded.I will start by reviewing the fabric used by Pura Vida, I purchased the Pink Sunset sling and came back a few days later for the Seashell, they are that addictively soft! I've owned a few ring slings over the last 16 years, but none of them came close to the comfort and structure offered by Pura Vida. Anne even made sure there is a seam along the shoulder to help with getting the perfect fit (don't pay attention to how it slipped a bit in my 1st picture, we had just used the restroom--yes, squatting & wearing a ring sling is very do-able--and my baby was squirmy, I hadn't yet readjusted), the fabric glides smoothly through the (very pretty rose gold) rings, also the fabric is soft yet structured enough that it won't start to bag-out for I-don't-know-how-long, as I've worn mine for over an hour of vigorous walking with no slippage or drooping. We didn't break a sweat during our day out and about at the zoo, and my baby enjoys her slings so much that I've been using them to hold her while I cook dinner (even when extra hands are available), she literally makes happy sounds when I pull out Sunset Pink. The material is thick but not heavy, smooth but not slippery. I might update my review once I've worn them during the scorching summer months, so far so good!As far as structure goes, I already mentioned the shoulder seam, the pocket comes in handy for carrying a phone (I have an older iphone with a bulky case & it fit fine), the tail of the sling is long enough for winding up into the top rail that goes behind baby's head, for extra support. My daughter likes to lean her head back and look up at the trees as we walk, I feel that the sling holds her securely while she's doing that. There is plenty of material for making a deep seat for my baby, she's about 20lbs.Color, my favorite part. These colors are gorgeous! I can see how easy it would be to end up with 4 or 5 Pura Vida slings. The two pink colorways that I purchased are completely different shades, and the vibe of each one is also very different. My third photo shows a comparison of these colors (indoors, daylight). I believe that the tail on Sunset is longer than on Seashell, but they are equally functional and beautiful.If you read through the reviews (here and on Instagram) you will see how Pura Vida sling wearers are devoted to this brand, not only because of the superior product, but because of the care and interaction provided by Anne and her company. Like another reviewer, I was replacing a stolen sling (of a different brand), and came upon Pura Vida, maybe that theft was a blessing in disguise...I had no idea what I was missing as far as comfort and style. I do own two other types of carriers (Babylonia and Sakura Bloom), but Pura Vida will be the only linen ring slings that I buy. I love that they add a bit of bamboo to the mix for some extra coziness, for this price I don't think you can find anything remotely comparable.Thank you , Anne and family, for providing such a high quality, and lovely, product & experience.

I did quite a bit of web-surfing to find the right baby carrier for me, comparing styles, ease of use, fabrics, cost and comfort. I was so excited to receive my ring sling once I decided upon Pura Vida’s and placed my order, and it has fully lived up to my expectations.The sling is light and so soft straight out of the package. The linen-bamboo blend is high quality, sliding easily between the rings and it is not too hot for wearing in the summer. It fits nicely into the diaper bag with minimal bulk. It is easy to care for.My baby often falls asleep in it when I wear her around the house, but she is also enjoys it when she is awake and able to look all around at her environment. I took the sling on a long road trip when our baby was 2 months old and it was so convenient and quick to use to when we got out of the car to explore nature with the baby, and it was just as quick to take her out of the sling to put her back in her car seat and hit the road again. The tail served as a nice cover when I needed to nurse her in public and shield her from the sun or wind. I don’t often buy anything in beige, but this fabric and the copper rings are lovely. It is simple and neutral enough for my husband to wear too. This ring has been one of my favorite purchases for the baby. At this reasonable price point for a quality ring sling I bought another in a different color.I should also mention that communication with the company is superior. Pura Vida’s founder Anne personally reached out to me promptly to answer questions I emailed them and she welcomed any other questions about the product or babywearing in general. She also checked with me to make sure that I received the sling when expected and that I was happy with the purchase. She donates a portion of the profits to a charity that helps low income families in a town in Costa Rica, which I felt was a worthy cause to support. I can say that I’m really pleased with this purchase all around.

You have to practice a couple of times and get use to it BUT after you’ve got it it’s easy as pull up your trousers! 🤣 we loving this and it’s so nice.

This is the first sling I've ever gotten on with. It's so easy to use and my baby is so safe, secure and comfy in there, it doesn't take her long to fall asleep. It works amazing for colic as well. Onces your ring slings in place you can pop it in your baby bag and just quickly put it on while out and about. My baby goes straight from her car seat into the sling when doing school runs or shopping.

It's beautiful, comfortable and easy to use once you know how. Suitable from newborn right through the toddler years (my 3 year old nephew had a go in it and I use it for my 1yo). There are handy YouTube tutorials and I received excellent customer service from the seller. They're very kind and helpful.

I had high hopes for this sling and thought it would be a good wear to wear my 11 month old but it simply doesn't not live up to standard. The material is slippy and not matt enough for a sling, this results in the material sliding up and over my babies bum, the rings are cheap and flimsy also and do not to what they are supposed to. It makes for a very unsafe and concerning baby wearing experience! I'm very disappointed with this and would never recommend it to anyone. 2 stars for the nice packaging and bag it comes in but the product itself is unsafe and absolutely useless.

Absolutely love this sling! I previously hired a different make of ring sling and I couldn't get on with it... I was about to give up on ring slings until someone recommended this one to me. So I took a risk and this sling is AMAZING ! it's so easy to put on. Baby feels super secure. He's so happy and content in it. I can breastfeed so easily in this sling too and neither of us get overheated. I even carried my almost 4 year old around in it with no issues. My husband really likes it as well. Loads of videos on their YouTube channel to help if you're not sure how to use a ring sling. So glad I purchased!!
