I bought this over 5 years ago and did not stake it down to the ground. It was windy at our camp site and the shower blew away. Many years later I was shopping shower tents similar to the one that I previously had and BOOM I found it on Amazon. This Time I will place the tent on a slope to help with water drainage. The bag that comes with the tent is too heavy to hang with the hook provided but that's ok. This time I also purchased a manual pump with a shower hose that way I can use the long hose on the hook. that comes with this tent. For the shower towel rack, inside mesh toiletry bag and, shower bag and .........mat at the floor, This shower tent is the best for the cost, It does take a little Time to put together so if you just want a quick pop up and go then maybe not the best one, If you want to have a comfortable shower experience for multiple days Go for this one

Overall this was a great product. Be sure to have that thing set up and secure. We wanted to see what the 5-gallon bag would look like and at the time we didn't have it staked down (we were just setting it up real quick in the yard to see what it would look like) and that bag set the whole thing down... FUNNY. Once up and secure, it was excellent. We are glad we went with the "Suggested Items" list and bought the 5-Gallon Shower bag separately. The one that came with this had a very very very weak shower head. But the other one was very cool. Overall, AWESOME shower, changing room, etc. We even had a porta-potty we put in there. Perfect.

This is a great shower tent overall. We bought this shower tent knowing that we would be camping several days straight without shower facilities many times and that there would also be times we’d rather not use the shower facilities at certain campgrounds due to a lack of cleanliness. We had a hard time deciding between this and shower tent and another smaller more lightweight tent that pops up automatically when you pull it out of its case. We ended up buying both for different situations. We bought this one for those times when cargo weight and space were not a issue and we would be camping several days in a place where we needed something of our own to shower with at least every other day. We took into account the following list of pros and cons. Pros: - Very spacious. So it’s easy to fit inside with a kid or two to get them cleaned up. - Accommodates larger and/ or taller people. - Sturdy enough to hange solar shower bags from the frame inside (we used this option a couple times as well as using a collapsible bucket and pump that was USB rechargable. - Has towel racks and many places to hang clothing or towels to make it easy to reach out the windows and grab what you need to dry off and get changed. - Has a shower caddy you can stow shampoo or body wash in. - Has a floor mat that helps keep your feet clean and mud free instead of soaking the ground and making a mud puddle where you shower (water easily runs out the sides at the bottom of the tent). - Very good ventilation between 2”-3” gap at bottom of tent between floor and sides as well as screen windows and screen vent at top. This keeps it from overheating on hot days and also helps it dry out a lot quicker so you don’t have to worry about packing a wet tent away and either having to set it up at home to let it finish drying and keep from molding or having to wait around camp too long while it dries. Cons - Poles that make up the frame are very thin and don’t seem like they’ll last forever. We worry that either too much weight in a hanging water bag in combination with stress from excessive winds may cause the thin walled pipe to split at connection points. - not lightweight or compact for times where cargo space and weight might be an issue. - takes longer to set up than small pop-up versions of shower tents. After I had set this up a time or two and already knew what I was going it probably took about 15-20 minutes to pull out of the bag, assemble and stake down. - Doesn’t come with straps or loop to hang shower heads that are part of electronic pump shower systems. I rigged mine up with the shower caddy that comes with the tent. Overall we are very happy with our purchase of this shower tent and prefer it for longer stays at pull-up car camping spots and for times where cargo weight and space are not an issue.

I read reviews that this was difficult to assemble and not very good quality. But I read other reviews that said it was sturdy and worked fine. If you want to have the perfect Hollywood style - Dad can't figure out how to put the camping gear together experience. This one's for you. It's like Mr. Bean goes camping. But it IS NOT the assembly isn't difficult. The POOR QUALITY and design of the product mean the pieces don't snap-tight, the thing disassembles itself as you try and put it together. This is fun standing in the heat with bugs. You get good at putting it together as it constantly falls apart. Truly, how quickly it disassembles itself should be considered a bonus. The frame is made of sturdy aluminum, but the design means the thing can topple apart, or lose all integrity at any angle. Imagine with me... you are using this portable shower, or perhaps as a restroom, when the wind blows ever so gently and the damn thing comes apart. Yup. If you are using this as a portable restroom, keep in mind it can fall apart if you don't get it secure and tie it down. Also, you really need a flat surface to hang the shower. Which, of course, no campsite has. The shower is like gumball machine toy quality. The valve does not move well, and the seal leaks, which others have reviewed. All of that would have been the end of my review - if the cable that held one of the poles had not snapped after one use.

I bought this portable shower for my grandmother who is in her 80s and who can no longer lift her legs high, such that she isn't able to hop into any of the 4 shower tubs in our house. She is visiting for a few months, and so we needed a solution for her to be able to shower comfortably in the privacy of an enclosed space. I looked high and low to find an alternative and was able to find this portable shower for her. The set up was pretty straight forward (assuming you follow the directions included.) We had this bad boy up and running in less than an hour. Since it tends to get windy here in Southern California, we placed this portable shower in a corner of our backyard, where three of the four main posts of the shower are tied very secure to a tall 10 foot fence we have throughout the perimeter of our backyard. Let the Santa Ana winds try to knock that down! LOL At any rate, this is our grandmother's exclusive use, and so we have everything she needs in there, shampoo, conditioner, towels, and it's big enough to where we also have a small table with a chair, so she can sit down while taking a shower, and have a place to put her dry clothes, as well as a hamper so she can place her clothes after she's done with her shower. Grandma is old school, and so we heat up a couple 5 gallon tubs we had, and put her water in there, then mix it with cold water, just enough so that the hot water doesn't burn her. So far, so good. We've had this for a couple months, and she loves it a lot. She even jokes around that when the warm weather comes around, we'll be asking her permission to shower outside in the elements LOL. One thing she really loves about this shower is that it's sturdy enough that it doesn't allow wind to pass thru it, and so she never feels any drafts when she's in there bathing herself. For about a hundred bucks, this can't be beat!

This privacy outhouse/shower is huge. I am really not sure why it was made so big. If you are tall, then this might be the one for you. For the average person, the height is excessive. Setup is not as easy as it should be. It can be set up by one person, but a second set of hands is helpful. When setting up roof poles, the poles kept popping out of one side when I went to attach the other corner. Then once the roof was altogether, they popped out again trying to connect the legs. I gave 3 stars for durability because I feel like the poles popping out so easily could indicate a problem in windy conditions where possibly rocking from wind could knock the poles loose, which would probably result in damage to the tent fabric. Due to the weight of the packaged item, the amount of time it took to put together, and how extra tall it was, i returned it. It is too much work to put up for a weekend camping trip. If I was planning to camp in one location for a week or two in that location, I might have considered keeping it. However, it is fairly bulky packed up (for what it is). I have had 2/3 person tents that pack smaller. Also, even on multi day camping, you may need to take down your privacy tent if strong winds are predicted. So I returned this and bought a pop up privacy tent. Those set up and take down quickly and i can put it away when windy conditions are forecast.

The Texsport "instant" portable outdoor shower out of the box looks like a good quality, well designed product. It's not instant however! Even so putting it together is not difficult for two people (because of the size only). The pole sections are strung together with strong wire, not elastic cords. On the negative side, this makes them very tight when trying to pull the clip from the salt of the next pole. We resorted to not engaging the clip in the slot. There doesn't seem to be any loss of integrity doing this. The structure is stirdy regardlesss. There are numbered stickers but the length of the poles alone will indicate which poles are for what, so not a big deal if the stickers are lost. The directions to out the tent together are sewn into the tent bag as well as an separate copy. The tent material is heavy enough to assure privacy though we have not checked this out for night time use. The shower bag is heavy duty, well made and the height of the tent apex is such that it would be difficult to hoist a full bag onto the strong hook, but once there, there would be no ducking to use the shower. The tent is spacious, windows open to outside. The towel racks are actually sturdy rods and not clothesline. The accessory bag looks good, not sure if it will hold up,to being loaded with soap, shampoo, shave cream etc. but only time will tell. All in all we are happy with the purchase. The size, quality and even the look are what we were hoping for. Update 2018- this tent has withstood heavy rain and wind, repeated use and exposure to blazing sun. It’s still 5 star quality...no repairs needed, one of the best camp equipment we have invested in.

Received it today and set it up by myself in about 25 minutes. Yes, it would have been easier and a bit faster with two people, but far from impossible. The instructions were good (with pictures), and it's nice that they're sewn into the storage bag. I'm not sure of the point of the stickers on the poles, as they don't really correlate with the other stickers on the plastic connectors, but it's easy enough to figure out which poles go where. In fact, it wouldn't be all that hard to assemble this thing without the instructions! The included 5 gallon water bag seems sturdy enough, and I filled it about half full and hung it on the hook without any issues. The frame seems sturdy enough to hold a full 5 gallons. With that said, the poles are steel (not fiberglass or aluminum), so this is certainly not a backpacking enclosure. But the wire clips are sturdy and the poles are easy to put together and pull apart. The "pass through" windows are awesome, as one of my concerns was how to keep your towel and clothes dry while showering without having to step outside to attrive them afterward (don't want 18 Boy Scouts watching my wife exit the enclosure to retrieve here clothes!). Some reviewers have expressed concerns about how this will hold up in the wind. Well, it's easy enough to unclip the nylon enclosure from the steel frame if the wind gets too strong, which should solve the problem, provided the frame is properly secured with some ropes. Take down was really simple, and took about 5 minutes. The storage back is nice and large, and everything fit back in without craming and stretching. I'm looking forward to 6 days in Sedona, AZ with a bunch of Boy Scouts and parents, and will report back in after a few days of practical use.
