Great quality Carbon Fiber mat!
Got this to make some Carbon Fiber pieces for my Foxbody mustang. I was surprised at the amount of fiberglass cloth I got. Carbon Fiber isn’t cheap to begin with so the amount I got was well worth it and it’s made in USA which is another reason to buy this brand by Fibre Glast. I’m learning to do Carbon fiber and have a friend who does it help me. He said this was good quality stuff. If you want to learn how to do carbon fiber I suggest YouTube. They are some great channels that show you step by step for beginners. I’ve done fiberglass work which is similar with how you do resin and stuff. If you want some quality Carbon Fiber that’s made in America then this is what you need.

Looks great
This carbon fiber mat looks great. I didn't get this to make the words lightest brick. I picked it up to make some resin inlays, pick guards, and truss rod covers for guitars. I'm using one layer of mat in a 1/8" (3mm) epoxy resin pour. I'm not worried about tinsel strength, rigidity, or vibration absorption. It is all about the esthetics, and this looks great. It is easy to work with, it keeps its shape better than typical fiberglass mat. It mostly held its shape while cutting and placing the piece into the rectangular mold. The edges held and didn't unravel while cutting it. I put a strip of blue painters tape on the open edges on the roll. I will try designing and making other parts for my guitars eventually.

Just what you’d expect
This carbon fiber mat showed up on a large cardboard roll in good condition. Looking forward to trying out this material on a custom bumper project.
