I really like the design, but I don't think the filter matters all that much. The material the mask is made of doesn't allow a lot of air to pass, so whenever you breathe out you get a face full of lung. Trying to breathe through the mask by pushing it up to your mouth takes effort so I doubt any air is actually going to pass through it while wearing it casually.The filter is a little less restrictive than the mask, but it's still very restrictive. I've worn full face and half face respirators, and the filter in this is significantly harder to breathe through than any other filter I've used. With the filter in the mask it becomes very hard to pass any air through, but I don't think it matters, just as much lung is going to go back into your face.Still not impossible to breathe, unless the filters in and someone holds it to your face.

I have never had a mask with a filter and I’m guessing I will never use that part. Being a cat lover, I just wanted something that would make people smile. The kitties are so cute, varied in colors and types. Never thought I’d see a face mask as a fashion statement, but here we are....It is a little warm, but the days are getting cooler and it looks like I’ll be wearing a mask for a while longer.It is a good fit, like an accordion that pulls under my chin and stays snug with adjustable ear loops.

Love my mask but it took forever getting to me. Now after having it for 5 months and wearing for only 2, the stretchy ear loop is starting to curl and lose its elasticity. I hand wash it and let it air dry. So even though I love it, I’m disappointed that it’s not lasting as long as I had hoped for.
