Well-made Fantasy Knife For The Price
For an under 10 dollar knife, these "assassin daggers" are 5-star. I bought 2 of them to go along with a renaissance-type costume, and they are perfect for it. But even though these are fantasy knives (ie, display knives), they still have a very real, factory-sharpened stainless steel blade. They are not razor sharp, but they are certainly sharp enough to cause real damage. Of course you can always hone the edges further, yourself, but you shouldn't need to because the real design of this type of dagger was for stabbing & thrusting. The point needed to be sharp, but it wasn't necessary for the edges to be razor sharp since they were meant to simply cause a hole that would cause profuse bleeding, rather than a slice or a cut.The sheath is ABS black plastic (which is pretty rugged) with a starburst design, and ornate cast metal on both ends. It gives the little knife some weight. The dagger's V-shaped hand guard matches right up against the sheath top, which has a little chain attached, I guess to hook it onto your belt or something. But the chain is weak, I wouldn't really trust them for actual wear, so I replaced them with black cord in order to tie them to my belt securely. If you're just using the knife for display, the chain is better, visually. The blade stays snugly in the sheath because there's foam inside, which also prevents scratching the blade or having it rattling around. With cheaper fantasy knives, it seems that something is usually loose & rattling, but happily that is not the case with these. The blade is brushed stainless steel with a blood groove down the center on one side. The handles are made with the same ABS black plastic, with cast metal rings around it. On the pommel of the handle there is a punch-spike (to which I have customized further by attaching a tassel :). I couldn't tell you how far the blade tang goes into the handle but they seem awfully sturdy. If you attempt to use this dagger as a throwing knife, it will absolutely ruin it (they're not even designed or balanced for throwing) but aside from that even though they're display knives, they have the potential to be quite functional. Fortunately both sides of the dagger & sheath are the same, which is nice because sometimes with fantasy knives, only one side has all the designs on it.Well that about covers it! For the price, 5 stars, you can't go wrong. They're cheap, made with lower-end materials, but they're not cheaply made...and I've seen my share of crappy fantasy knives. They are great on display & great for cosplay, and I imagine they would also be great for self-defense if ever the situation arises & you happen to have one of these strapped to your leg or something. They are sturdy enough that as long as you don't abuse them, they should hold together for quite some time.

A great solid decorative knife for a good price
- First off:Right away I am going to say this: It is NOT a battle-ready dagger, it's not even full tang (I'll explain how I found out for myself.). So it shouldn't be put under any kind of stress, but it is pointed and decently sharp, so be careful.- The knife:I have owned this knife since Christmas, I bought one for myself and a friend, because he collects knives and I was interested in this product. The knife came to us in a white shiny cardboard box with red velvet-like inside, with the knife included of course. The knife itself is actually quite detailed for the price. The handle and sheath are made of metal and plastic, but not at all flimsy. It's all put together with the blade in a solid, decorative craft. Two only things I saw that were cheap-cheap things about this dagger is the chain (but that's my personal opinion), it just looks kinda weak and it connects to the dagger sheath with two thin rings. Of course you can go to the hardware store and get a stronger, heftier looking chain for five bucks or less at the same length or more. So I would recommend getting a different chain. Inside the sheath, I see two white foam or poster-board-like rectangles along the sides of the sheath. This is to help the dagger from rattling around, but you can't see it unless you actually look INTO the sheath. For looks, decorative, LARP, photos, videos or whatever project you wish to use this knife in, it's a very good prop and the blade doesn't look that bad at all. It doesn't look flimsy or that cheap. You'd have to examine it VERY closely to even tell it has cheap details.Over all it's a solid design, nothing's flimsy about the dagger, and it only slightly rattles in it's sheath.- Stabbing test***** Treat your knives with respect! *****I did say this knife isn't at all meant for any sort of abuse, but I did put my knife in abuse to see how it handles. And to be honest it handles abuse well. Basically I got a plank of wood and stabbed the wood a couple of times. I got the knife in good and when I pulled back, the handle came off. This is how I learned the knife isn't full tang. The repair was quick. Re-align the handle and the knife, it's a really tight fit and I pushed all my weight down onto it and the knife returned into the handle snugly. It's still with me on my desk, right now and there's no rattling or any indication the knife ever left the handle.

Multipurpose
This was excellent. I bought this for my Wiccan rituals. I had got the cheapest one assuming it will be flimsy and I will only use it to carve candles and no other blade use. First off it arrived early, although I know that has nothing to do with the product I just was extremely happy it was early. The blade is double edge, and can be sharpened as it came dull. It is very lightweight, which I would not prefer for the intent of a knife, but for its intended use it was perfect. Most of it is an extremely sturdy and durable plastic that looks great. Mine came with a chain although I saw others did not get it. It also has a spot at the top to put string or what have you in it. I held it upside down and shook it. With a tight grip and lose grip on the sheath. It did not come out or rattle except for the chain. It did fall out with vigorous shaking but I doubt that is a normal amount of shaking. This is great and I would recommend it for what ever other uses, be it a costume (for adults obviously) or decoration or actual use. Its not a 70 dollar knife so its not perfect but it is great for its price.
