Fodor's Walt Disney World: with Universal & the Best of Orlando (Full-color Travel Guide)

Very Helpful Guide
Very detailed guide. Helpful for mostly pre covid information. Unlike some other guides the writers go deeper in depth of description of rides attractions and restaurants. I do suggest an edit. The Parliament House on Orange Blossom Trail has been bulldozed already for which I am very sad.

Features Everything You Need To Know!
Impressed with layout of book. DisneyWorld and Universal Studios are effortlessly joined together , citing information on lodging, resorts, dining, and many other travel trips. Easy to read and navigate. Driving directions and transportation options are included as well. Really helped me plan our trip!

Exactly quality book
I have a lot of Disney World travel guides and wanted to try out one hadn’t used before. It was very well written and has a very good feel to it. I will be buying more of these books in the future.

Not very up to date/accurate
Beautiful photos, but they really need to verify their info before publishing. I realize this isn't a "dated" book, saying it's for a specific year, and things have changed quickly the last few years. However, the book advertises things that were closed permanently well before publication (looking at the copyright info), as well as advertises new attractions that have not opened yet or were canceled as if they're open. It seems like all they likely did from the previous edition was add in what was announced and decided to call it a day, without verifying that those announcements from several years ago were still valid. And sure, things may have changed after it was written, but some of these changes were made at least six months before press time (I think one was closer to a year), and it shouldn't be that difficult to quickly go in and make small changes like that. I know travel books like this are often written by people who have never actually been to the place they're writing about, and there's no way of knowing for sure if that's the case, but research should still be involved. After seeing how poorly this book was done, I'm hesitant to ever purchase another Fodor's guide again. That said, if you're looking for general info, it's not completely horrible. It just doesn't work for the amount of planning that is unfortunately needed for a Disney World vacation these days (though 10 years ago, it may have been plenty). Just take everything with a grain of salt and be sure to do your own research to make sure your expectations are reasonable, especially if kids are involved. There are enough really good Disney World guides out there written by actual Disney fans who actually visit the parks and know how things work and what is going on, that are specific to the current year, that this one really isn't necessary, unless you want it for the photos.
