As novice beekeepers, we did not have a hive survive in either of our first two winters. Each hive showed signs of dysentery, so in 2022, we started using HBH to improve the gut health of our bees. It worked!!! Even those few hives who did not make it through a wicked January cold spell showed no signs if dysentery. I now use this product each time we do a hive inspection.

I was noticing a pretty sour smell from my hive and noticing lots of bees crawling away from the hive each morning. I started using super dfm in July and it is sept 12th now and the hive is smelling great again and I have notice a huge reduction in bees crawling away. Giving them the chance to take it also and not dumping it into the hive and they almost immediately go for it. Not just the bees enjoy this but ants, yellow jackets and more so I only use a small quantity every week.

I use this in the fall as a prep for winter to support my bees immune health and again in the spring to get them ready for the season.

I used this product after a cinnamon/clove/thyme treatment for foulbrood. My colony collapsed shortly after and was picked clean by a neighboring hive of Italian bees... I do not know how the microflora did or did not have any affect. I definitely should have purchased a smaller quantity.
