Service was fabulous. The pattern is very annoying
The shop I bought this from was great, it arrived quickly and well packaged and I though good value. McCalls instructions are ridiculous, the bodice tiny and generally took a very simple beginner level pattern to an annoying place but it's still a good pattern. It's not hard to hack. If you're a standard size this will be very good for you (I.e. a b cup, wide shoulders and skinny upper arms). The neckline is a little low for my liking so I did a neckline and bust adjustment, and I made the sleeves longer with double the puff as it looked nicer on me. Definitely make a toile of just the bodice. The skirt is great and the ruching on the back is excellent.

Size 14 comes up a bit small for the spencer/short jacket
Size 14 of the spencer/short jacket was very small, so will try size 16 next, as I like the design. It was particularly tight on the lower arm and there is not enough room for a puffed sleeve of the dress below.

The bodice doesn’t fit
I only used the dress pattern. The bodice front doesn’t fit. I used it for 2 people and had to remake the pattern for both of them. Complete waste of be money
