Lovely hair dye! I have been using Arctic Fox Purple AF for about a year, decided to switch it up. It removed beautifully with a 20 vol. Bleach bath and went completely back to a light blonde. I decided to try out Aquamarine and wow! This color is beautiful and so vivid. I only docked one star because I do find it fades somewhat fast. I wash every 2 or 3 days and within 2 weeks Im needing to touch it up but its worth it.

Perfect! I mixed this color with the Splat “Blue By You” and got the exact blue i was looking for. Since i have dark brown hair i needed to bleach before hand but overall the whole dying process wasn’t too much of a hassle! just remember to have rubbing alcohol for stains

Since I've been through cancer, I wanted to stop using the possibly-cancer-causing permanent dyes; they didn't really cover my gray that well anyway. I looked at Miss Clairol semi-permanent stuff, but... that's what my grandma used. I just couldn't do it. When I was on chemo and all my hair fell out, I always said that I hoped it ALL came back white or at least gray so I could dye it some fun color never intended by nature. People thought I was kidding. I was not. Well, my hair grew back curlier than before (and unlike many peoples' experience with it, mine has stayed curlier for almost eight years now so I guess it's permanent.) It also grew back just as reddish-brown with plenty of gray just like before. Blah. It looked mousy. So I figured why no try something a little bit... different... and started experimenting with different colors and different brands. Here's the advantage: If you use hair dye that is blue or turquoise or pink or something like that, even when it starts to wash out, your gray just blends right into it and becomes actually really pretty. So all that said: I've tried a bunch of different brands at this point and can say that if you want color that will LAST a long time, this is the best, hands down. It's going to last longer--and take better-- on some people than others; just depends on your hair. Mine is ultra-thick and pretty porous, and depending on where on my head we're talking about, it goes from almost coarse to baby-fine. This brand, and especially the turquoise, actually takes longer to fade than my old permanent dyes did. No kidding. We're talking months, here. It lasts long enough that I have to re-do it because of roots. It lasts so long that I start wishing it would hurry and wash out enough so that I can try a different color. Additionally, it seems to make my hair really soft. It smells *cute*. My husband loves the smell of it right after I've dyed my hair. Follow the directions and leave it in long enough--at LEAST a half hour, and the longer the better. Wash your hair in cooler water. I don't use heat on my hair at all. And unless your hair just happens to be a texture that doesn't work well with this stuff, don't waste your time on other brands, because this is the only one you'll ever need. Oh, and my reddish brown hair turned a lovely shade of turquoise that simply gets lighter where I'm going gray. Even my 79 year old mother likes it and she's usually pretty conservative when it comes to *looks.* I love, love, love, ,this dye, and will never bother buying any other brand again.

Works amazinglyyy, i have brown roots and the blue went right over it making it a dark blue or almost black, i had highlights already in my hair when i had colored it. :>

This is the absolute BEST dye I've ever used, including the professional ones. It's easy, it doesn't have an ammonia smell, it COVERS, and it's blendable with other colours. I don't know why it has bad reviews at all. 10/10 would recommend. (The photo is Purple AF which I layered over a faded pink that I had!)

There is no perfect semi-permanent dye but this comes close! This particular color is slightly more green than displayed on the package but overall fairly true to the packaging. I've been dyeing my hair for about ten years on and off and have tried most of the prominent dyes on the market. Arctic Fox is the best vegan-conditioner dye out there. A conditioning dye means that it will not harm your hair no matter how many times you re-dye it, which is good for vibrant colors since you will be touching it up frequently (especially with blue/green hues)! This dye lasts about three times as long as Manic Panic (but not as long as a more damaging dye like Splat for example) and a large bottle lasts quite a while even for me who has medium to long hair- I'd say about two-three months. This dye has a pleasant smell, not overly strong but definitely present. The reason I rated it four stars is because it stains like crazy. I expected that of course and still like the dye overall but nothing stains like this. Every time I have a shower the water runs blue, never clear which hasn't happened with any other dye I've used. Even dry, occasionally my pillowcases get stained though that happens with other semi-permanent dyes too sometimes. All in all though, this is a great brand of hair dye and will breathe new life into bleached hair, leaving it vibrantly colored (as well as your bathtub!) for awhile to come! Pro-tip, nail polish removes works great to remove dye off most surfaces.
