Nice chair
This is a nice, comfortable chair. I bought two of them. Both assembled very easily. I'm 6'1" (73" or 185cm) tall and I weigh 212 (96.2kg). The chair is comfortable and the head rest is in a good spot. I like that the arms fold up out of the way when I don't need them and are easily lowered into place when I want to kick back a little. Like when I am on the phone. Putting the chair together was very easy. I do have some tips for you though. The best tip I can pass along is "Take your time putting it together." You don't have to assemble the chair in 5 minutes. Taking your time assures you will get it right. Follow the directions. They are easy enough to figure out. I've read where others had real trouble with the screws. They claim it was very hard to get the screws in. The screws are not difficult to put in provided you don't cross-thread them. If the screws start tightening up before the parts are secure, you need to *stop* and back out the screw and try again. The screw should thread in nice and easy until the parts come together. Another reviewer said the bolts look dirty or rusty. The reason it looks like this would be the thread lock they put on the threads of the screws. This material, when heated by the act of tightening the screw, will bond the threads together making it more difficult to come loose on you down the road. You can see this thread locking material in one of my pictures. Last tip on screws, do not crank down the screws when tightening. They do not need to be torqued like head bolts on a top fuel funny car. Get them snug and turn another 1/4 turn if it isn't too tight. You crank down on these and you will strip out the threads or break the nut loose. Be careful especially on the seat where the screws can easily strip the nut out or crack the wood. Think like the strength of a child, not an MMA fighter. :-) Finally, use the box it came in to rest the back on when screwing on the arm assembly. It just makes it so much easier. If you are looking for a decent low-cost swivel chair, you should give this one a try. Thanks.

Easy assembly, basic desk chair
Assembly - took about 30 minutes to assemble by myself. A second pair of hands would have been nice, but not necessary. Comes with everything you need for assembly, no extra tools required. Comfort - the fabric on the armrests is a little rough on bare skin, but otherwise fine. Seems to have plenty of padding in the seat, but we'll see how that holds up over time. I'm 5'4" and the lumbar support is in just the right spot for me. The seat seems like it could be longer, I feel like I'd be more comfortable if the seat supported more of my legs. Adjustment - This chair only adjusts up and down and swivels from side to side. There is no reclining or adjustment of the seat itself. It does have a headrest that adjusts, but not up and down, only horizontally. The location of the headrest with the angle of the back of the chair actually makes the headrest moot for me, unless I'm basically leaning my head backwards. Overall - for a basic, no frills desk chair this fits the bill, but could be improved with a more useful headrest and a longer seat.

A Viable Herman Miller Alternative for 1/10 the price.
A Herman Miller replacement at 1/10 the price. My last office had Herman Miller chairs, costing $1K each and, while not quite as comfortable or adjustable, this chair offers nearly every "key" option I loved about my Herman Miller for 1/10 the price. PROS: STURDY support for my 6'1" tall, 210-pound frame. COMFORTABLE throughout a 10-16 hour work-day (startup-life). GOOD LUMBAR SUPPORT: The bulging disk in my lower back aches much less after a work-day. HEADREST: Reduces both Neck & Shoulder Tension. Headrests are A Must-Have if you stare at a PC monitor(s) all day. BREATHABLE, COOL, MESH makes warm offices more tolerable. ARMRESTS Fold up and out of the way and include some padding. ASSEMBLY takes 10-15 minutes (should be 10 but it took 5 minutes to find my cordless screwdriver and allen-wrench adapters). CONS (nitpicking): WHEELS: If you have hardwood floors, you May want to replace the included wheels with a quieter, scuff-free, set for $15-$20 on Amazon (order them when you order the chair). ARMRESTS: If you intend to fold the armrests out of the way the following isn't a big deal. The armrests aren't height-adjustable and rest about 1.75" lower than I like (everyone has a preference) which increases shoulder tension if one's shoulders slump down to allow one's forearms to contact the armrests. I plan to remedy this by building some spacers to raise the armrests using 2x4 lumber scraps from other projects.

Really uncomfortable and the mesh is awful quality.
- The Mesh. Can we even call this 'mesh' given the quality? Not even 2 weeks after I received it, the mesh has started already to stretch. This mesh has nothing to do with how mesh is constructed for leading chairs eg Herman Millers. I am really concerned this will break before a year of use. Frankly, the term mesh should be protected and not used to describe a material made famous by $500 chairs. - Assembly. This is terrible. Why? because holes aren't drilled properly. Result? you need to have robust strength in the wrists to mount the screws. Additionally, given how hard I had to screw the parts together for them to hold, I'm really concerned about durability and risks of early braking at the joints. - Comfort. I bought a $100 chair in a known office supplies chain that lasted me 3 years. This is a bad experience, but at least the chair was really comfortable and already assembled upon purchase! The comfort of this 'High Back Black Mesh Executive Swivel Office Chair' is terrible. Why? 1. The back is mounted on the bottom in such a way that the SEAT itself is WAY TOO SHORT. I'm 6' and I'm sitting on the edge of the chair. This has never happened to me with any chair either at home or the office. 2. As noted in other reviews: the fabric is rough on skin. This also truly feels like cheap material. 3. As noted in other reviews: it doesn’t fully tilt back. 4. You can not block the titled position: less expensive chairs do that! This is truly one of the biggest downers of this design and make the overall absurdly overpriced by a factor of at least 30 to 40%. Here's my bottomline: - I believe that with a few months of use, the mesh will stretch enough, I'll actually feel comfortable in it. - If this breaks before a year: 1) I'll never buy furniture ever again on Amazon, 2) I'll invest into a real mesh chair made by a proper manufacturer. Better investing $500 every 20 years, than $100 every 2 years.

9 year review
I've had this chair for 9 years now. I'm 6' tall and the chair has always been MOSTLY comfortable. It lacks a lot of customization, but that's what you get for the cheap price. I work in it for 8 hours a day, then play games for about an hour in the evenings. It has held up, but not without wear and tear. It makes a loud popping noise every time I recline; I've taken it apart to try to fix it multiple times with no luck. I believe there's an issue with the bushing that I can't get to. It also sits about 3° crooked to the side because of the broken bushing. The bushing broke at around year 1. It also sits a little short for tall people. If I sit in the fully upright position, the top of the backing digs into my shoulders uncomfortably. The headrest height isn't adjustable so that can also dig into my neck. The padding on the seat has been decently comfortable and held up alright. My biggest complaint is seat depth. When I sit in the chair for too long, my legs feel very stiff and sore as if I ran a marathon. It cuts off the circulation to my legs and forces me to sit at the incorrect posture. This is the worst part about this chair beyond sitting slightly crooked. It certainly traps dirt and dust in the fabric in a way that you cannot clean. The chair at least doesn't get hot. I've managed with it for almost a decade, but I have finally decided to upgrade to a premium chair, Herman Miller Embody. If the bushing didn't break and cause the loud noise and crooked posture, or if it had adjustable seat depth or waterfall angle, I'd probably say this is an amazing budget chair. But at some point, us WFH desk jockeys must look out for our backs, legs, and blood circulation.

For a cheap high back mesh chair this is really good and comfortable
This seriously is very comfortable and can already tell from being someone who works in front of a computer being in a chair 8+ hours a day this seems perfect for me from using it. If I want to lean back with my head laying on the headrest for breaks watching a movie on my top screen or just get focused sitting straight working it fits my needs. For the price I paid which was $80 for the used damaged packaging from amazon warehouse everything inside was perfect, nothing missing and built within 10 minutes - so basically it was new just the box was damaged certainly this was a bargain. I almost nearly thought it did not arrive with the instructions(as seeing reviews not having them) but looking through everything closely on mines I finally found it on the sitting part the paper instructions... it wasn't rocket science its was simple to follow and short. This is a hard plastic body, with mesh(back and headrest) and cloth sitting area, arms(they have cloth as well where your arms lay) do lift up entirely as in you can set it like its without armrests which is perfect for me since I play/record guitar and bass. Like I just said its plastic so yes its a mass produced type of product and I know it won't last me years with the constant daily use I will give it, but to me still from my personal opinion it seems entirely worth it.

Verdict after three months: Excellent chair
I suffer from pelvic pain due to ligament tears and other issues. Sitting is a painful activity for me for the most part, but standing is also painful. In short, I spend most of my days in discomfort. This chair has been a real boon to me. The time I spend sitting in it is really the only time I am comfortable most days. The back of the chair provides sturdy support. The seat has just enough give to be comfortable without flattening over time (a real problem with plush seats). The swivel is easy and smooth. The arms are comfortable too. It is easy not to realize that a chair is not ergonomic when you are able-bodied and everything is working well. When you are in pain, however, that is when you feel every single design flaw. So, when I tell you that this is truly an ergonomic chair, you can believe that. I am deducting one star because the height of the arms is not adjustable and the arms are placed at a level that bumps into most desks. So, I have to lift the arms up entirely in order to be able to use my desk. Apart from this small issue, the chair is great.

Money down the drain
I LOVED this chair model. I've bought 3-4 replacements over the years as they inevitably had a failure here and there after 2-3 years of heavy use. However, I am not a happy camper with this replacement, I don't know if they changed the design or if I got a dud but the backrest on this one juts forward several inches compared to my older one. This is flinging me forward and taking up seating space, while simultaneously causing a great deal of pain to a scar on my lower back after less than 30 minutes of use. Pictured are both the new and old chair to show what I'm talking about. As this chair is, I'll give it a 1 out of 5. Plus 1 for how well the last few served me.
