Skip this if your hair is thick. Took me 30 minutes to get plastic wrap off it. Once I finished that battle, I tried it in my hair and it immediately popped open. I tried it again and again. I am 66 yrs old so my hair isn't THAT thick. Even if you figure $2 shipping cost, an $8 barrette should close and stay closed. This thing is garbage. I havent bought many things on amazon that were worthless, but this is one.

Terrible quality. I can literally see where it was cut out of plastic. This is not worth the price at all. The metal clip part is thin and cheap. The other reviews are clearly fake. Very disappointed. Bummer because these big clips are hard to find.

Perfect for an adult with fine straight hair .

I've been letting my bangs grow out during the pandemic and have resorted to barrettes to pull my hair out of my eyes. I'm not sure how stylish that look is in the first place, but I absolutely cannot leave the house wearing these. In addition to the slippage (disappointing, but not unexpected, since I have fine hair), the parts of the parts that actually touch in order to hold hair in the place are too narrow when compared to the top of the barrette, leaving me with a weird loose-secure-loose "shape" of hair within the clip -- kind of this: ---__---. The looser hairs fall out gradually. In addition, my hair gets caught in the hinge (ouch), the clasp can be fastened incorrectly, requiring a LOT of pressure and finagling to open it, and they just have a cheap feel overall. I'll keep them while I continue my search because they do manage (with constant repositioning) keep the hair out of my eyes. Happily, I don't have to video-conference.

The color is good; the thickness of the clip is good; the metal clasp that is attached to the top/front that is visible could be improved, meaning the metals parts have a little sharpness that can snag, and should have been smoothed out before claiming it to be a finished product; I just took some tools and fixed it so it wouldn't be as sharp; overall the clip is functional and not too heavy or bulky; glad it came in a longer length (by inches) so it can hold a full head of hair.

I have thinning hair and was looking for something other than a scrunching. The promise of no slip hold drew me in. Unfortunately, the clip would not stay in my hair, kept slipping out.

I have very thick hair, and when I want to hold it up, most barrettes just can't do the job. It's always been hard to find barrettes that are actually big enough, but this last go around seems to have been particularly bad. With the majority of shelf space taken up in every retail store by the same Scrunci products -- none of which work -- I've been looking for A YEAR for a new barrette that was big enough and strong enough. FINALLY! and I am so happy!

This is a very nice barrette, pretty and well made. It holds my hair which is great, because my hair is very thick, but silky, so they tend to slide out of place.

These may look just like the ones in Walmart but I guarantee you, they are nothing like them.These are high quality, LARGE clips that are really well made and can hold thick curly hair.So nice to buy something that isn’t made in China.These clips are made in France.

Advertised as two barrettes. But only one included in the package. Wouldn’t buy again
