Yeah awesome, works. I used this on a Voidlinux laptop on XFCE connected by a KVM. When switching to the laptop it NEVER used to work, but now it switches perfectly. It's important to put this adaptor on the MONITOR end of the cable, not the COMPUTER end...

This EDID emulator instantly solved the display problems I had when using an HDMI KVM switch. My screen recording software now captures the full image without any cropping or glitches. Simple, effective, and great value.

I bought 6 of these thinking they were a Godsend from elsewhere and will be the final fix to my handshaking issues with my Apple TV 4K, Nvidia Shield TV Pro, PS4 Pro, XboxOneX all connected to my 4K HDMI switch. They are absolutely worthless due to 1. They don't support HDR at all 2. They don't support 2160p RGB only 2160p YUV And 3. They don't support 5.1 sound only 2.0. They are worthless for any intended purpose other than people with an old TV that likely won't have these issues in the first place as its 4K and HDCP 2.1 that really is the bugbear. They do not make the above clear anywhere in their advert.

Purchased for the ps5 to run at 120hz, it has done its job (there is a video on YouTube that shows you how to get around the monitor giving a black screen) as someone else has mentioned it does run very hot, maybe make sure your ps5 is well ventilated

Now this may sound stupid and obvious to a lot of people, but being stupid myself I ordered the first EDID Emulator of all the options on this particular product which turned out to be a HDMI EDID 1080 - 1P. You need to scroll across the options and select the HDMI EDID 4K - 1P. Works perfectly, HP 25mx monitor 120hz on COD etc.. switch performance mode on, turn hdr off, have the resolution set at automatic, then when you unplug the hdmi and connect this emulator and plug it back in you get black screen.. press X down down down X to select 1080p (blind) and it should burst back to life. At this point it still showed 60hz on my screen and video information on the ps5, but after I loaded vanguard the option was there in graphics settings to switch to 120hz, and after I did my screen and video information on ps5 now shows 120hz. I bought it for my fire 4k TV stick connnected to my 1440p monitor S2721dgf. The monitor receives 4k signal but for some reason, it doesn't work with fire tv 4k stick and the display is blank. It works with my xbox series x and my monitor displays 4k 60Hz resolution. Games seems to play with no issues. Had issues watching movies and shows in apple tv app. If you are using it just for games, it is worth it but there are sync and quality issues for movies.

great bit of kit- does what it supposed to do. make sure you get it the correct way round (plug in to monitor OR plug in to computer) also check you get the correct resolution for your system

El dispositivo funciona desactivando HDCP primero. No tuve ningún problema. En mi caso mi monitor es un ASUS VG27AQ y aunque es 1440p puede recibir señal 4K. Para el play con el adaptador no tiene ningún problema en correr juegos a 120fps. Ya probé con Dirt5 y Rainbow Six. Sí baja la resolución pero es lo que debe de hacer, no es por limitante del adaptador ni porque tu display no sea HDMI 2.1. Simplemente es lo más que puede hacer el Play5. Aunque en el menú del Play siempre diga 4K, los juegos con high frame rate la cambian cuando ya estas dentro del juego. Eso sí... también se puede jugarlos a 4K y 60FPS.

Ce petit adapteur m’a sorti d’une situation impossible. J’ai acheté récemment une Sony Bravia x90j. Sont branchés dessus une Sonos Beam gen1 via HDMI ARC, un ordinateur Mac, une box tv orange et une PS5. Pour une raison encore un peu mystérieuse la télé après allumage ne recevait pas le signal HDMI du Mac. La seule chose à faire était de retirer et rebrancher le port HDMI (du Mac donc). Et bien grâce a cet adaptateur entre le Mac et la TV tout est réglé. Et en bonus j’ai le support du 120hz en 1080p. Je me suis vraiment pris la tête sur le problème et j’ai tout testé. Du câble HDMI hors de prix en passant par tout les réglages possibles et autres adaptateurs. Et c’est vraiment la seule solution fiable et 100% compatible que j’ai pu trouvé. L’autre solution consistait passer par la sortie fibre audio vers HDMI vers sonos. Mais auquel cas il faut passer la télécommande en IR pour que ça fonctionne avec Sonos, et en IR la télécommande ne marche plus avec la box orange… bref mon problème était peut être spécifique à mes appareils combinés mais l’adapteur m’a sauvé et peut être qu’il vous sauvera aussi …

Perfetto! Mi ha risolto il problema di collegamento di un MacBook Air M4 13" a degli impianti con videoproiettore realizzati in modo approssimativo con materiale scadente ed un po' datati. Ora tutto funziona perfettamente, il Mac rileva l'edid dell'adattatore (che consente risoluzioni fino a 4k, ma anche molto inferiori compresa la comunissima 1920x1080 ). E' possibile impostare anche la frequenza 50/60Hz. Per quanto riguarda l'HDCP a buon intenditore poche parole. Un oggetto che non può mancare nel proprio setup
