If you're looking for a professional pitching machine keep looking. However, this is a solid piece of equipment if you're looking to improve your swing. The variable speed option is great because it allows you to adjust pitching speed as your batting improves. I would recommend this machine for kids ages 7-12. Top speed is around 52 mph at full throttle. This is fast enough if you are battling in a 22 to 26 foot cage. Works well with both baseballs and wiffle balls but will scuff your baseballs real good unless you buy leather ones. The pitch is always within the strike zone but varies with some outside, inside,high and low pitches which is great because it simulates real live pitching. The balls occasionally get tuck in the feeder so I recommend someone always standing behind the machine during practice to avoid interruptions for the batter during a jam. The jams however have become less and fewer in between uses. My thoughts is that the wheel has to break in before it starts operating at peak efficiency. Overall it is definitely worth the money If you are not willing to spend thousands on a professional unit. I was skeptical at first but i'm glad I took the plunge after reading a lot of the reviews. My son has made huge improvements in his batting that have carried over to his little league games. Coaches have complimented his improvement.

We used this fir our new machine pitch division. The auto feeder is fairly accurate. Absolutely a great machine for the money.

Neatly packaged. Setup in less than 10 minutes. Pitching wheel does NOT contain air when shipped. You must inflate before first use (it will look inflated but is not). I purchased the yellow dimpled heater balls and recommend you do as well. Consistent pitches with those balls with enough variability in accuracy for them to develop a discriminating eye (but all within strike zone). I also purchased the 24' extender batting cage (which is perfect size for little leaguers - mine are 10 and 9). Purchased because my kids were struggling at the plate (mainly with timing). They both missed every pitch on first 12 pitches. By the next round they were striping line drives. I can't speak to long term durability yet (only one day of use) but it does seem to be very solidly built. My only complaint in that speeds 1-5 are useless (can't reach plate from 24'). Speed 6 1/4 reaches plate at a velocity that seems to mimic what they are seeing in all star little league play. Speed 10 is impossibility fast for their age (so room for growth as they age) I stood in for a max speed pitch at 24' and didn't even have time to start my swing...reflexes aren't what they used to be 😀 Overall, I'm satisfied. We'll see how it holds up over time.

This item was unpacked and used during the 2025 spring season, worked great to begin with, within 3- months of using it, the pitching wheel disintegrated unevenly and now is pitching completely inaccurately by at least 18 inches in either direction (up, down, left or right). Would not recommend! Pictures show how wheel became uneven and also shows how much dust it collected in 25 minutes of practicing. Replacement wheels are $120.00, to have paid $429.00 for the unit, and then have to replace the pitching wheel 3-4 months later for $118.00, seems ridiculous.

My grandaon lives on a farm and this was perfect for him to practice hitting. 10 balls at a time worked great.. even better when I am visiting and can keep them coming.

Way exceeded my expectations. Granted we have only had it for one day so I cannot comment on its durability. Throws regular baseballs with accuracy The majority of the time. Every now and then it’ll catch a seam funny but otherwise it throws them just fine. We ended up taking off the front leg and propping the machine on our L screen because it wasn’t quite tall enough to throw over the top of it. Works great very stable even at the 10 speed. So far my kids love this machine they are 15 and 13. Ball feeder works great gives you enough time in between pitches to reset. Thumbs up for the price.

The Heater pitching machine is easy to assemble and use, and very solid and stable. It feels like a commercial grade machine but at an affordable price. It pitches leather balls accurately enough but the leather degrades fairly quickly. Pitching machine balls are consistently more accurate. Save your synthetic leather balls for manual pitching. This machine is excellent for batting (and back catcher), grounders, fly ball, and line drive practice. I'm satisfied with the performance and recommend it.

El aparato dispara las pelotas recomendadas consitentemente y a muy alta velocidad de salida en el setting máximo (100+ km/h!), aunque se frenan durante la trayectoria a home por lo que son bastante bateables. Lo probé con pelotas oficiales de piel y para mi sorpresa salían aún más duro (!). No obstante, no cualquier pelota con cubierta de cuero funciona ya que se maltratan mucho. Buscaré las pelotas recomendadas de piel a ver que tal. Recomendado para la práctica cotidiana de bateo y fildeo de rolas y elevados.

Awesome machine held up all summer.

La compré hace aproximadamente, hace un mes pero la llanta se rompió, y suena horrible!! No sé qué hacer
