WOW, this is the ultimate eco-friendly cutting board! One, it's big enough for just about any kitchen job--though I don't use it for that. I use it to cut glass for art projects. The corners give excellent grip holding the board to the counter, table, etc. It's very physically attractive on both sides, and is made from three thick layers of bamboo. Overall I believe the thickness is 3/4". This baby is not going to bend or get away from you (or your food). The care instructions are on the underside of the board.A few caveats: they do not recommend using bleach unless it is fairly dilute. They recommend hydrogen peroxide solution to sanitize the board after it has had meat on it. As a medical professional, I believe that the hydrogen peroxide treatment (after normal washing) will be quite adequate and you won't risk bleaching your clothing or flooring.Honestly, I wish had bought two of these! And I may buy another!

UPDATED June 2016The seller has updated the board design and manufacturing, and has changed the packaging. I received a new board this week.The board is now packaged in an easily recyclable cardboard gift box. There is no sticker on the board.The edges are more rounded now with less risk of splintering. I think there is still room for improvement here. A little hand sanding and it is perfect.The new silicone feet fit well. They are flush to the side of the board and don't appear to have open space underneath. The bottom side has small protrusions that help the board sit securely on a tile or granite counter top.Please note that the thickness measurement of 0.7" inches in the description is accurate. The product photo incorrectly states that the board is 3/4" thick.This is now my favorite cutting board. I tried a few other vendors of bamboo cutting boards in this price range, and this one is the best.Disclaimer: I received the new board free from the seller.REVIEW OF PREVIOUS MODEL - OUTDATED (January 2016):Came with a paper label glued directly to the top side of the wood with a big swirl of adhesive! I had to scrub it off with a scouring pad.It is not 3/4 inch thick as stated. It is slightly less than 11/16. The other dimensions are 11 1/2 x 15 5/8 inches (as opposed to the advertised 12x16).The outside edges are sharper than I would have expected. I am pretty sure I am going to get a big splinter from this some day.The rubber feet are all slightly mis-positioned and overhangs one side, which to me looks like will increase the likelihood that they accidentally get torn off. Also, there is open space under them which will no doubt get filled up with nasty bits of food and stay nice and wet.I expected a lot more at this price & average review score.If the feet were correctly positioned and the edges were rounded, this would be a great cutting board. But as is, its not good.

Love this cutting board. What took me so long to buy a Bamboo cutting board? Love that it's lightweight and cleans up like a breeze. Also makes cutting anything so much easier than the usual wood cutting board. Would kinda be nice if it came in larger sizes. And, would they not glue the product description paper to the board on both sides. Could just put it on the plastic outer wrap and then I wouldn't have to work so hard to get it off.

I bought two of these boards. I set aside an entire weekend to season them properly before using them. One of the boards was splintering on the edge when I took it out of the box. The second board started splintering after just a couple of uses. I was very careful to follow all of the instructions and given the time it took to prep them for use, I'm incredibly disappointed.

Item is nice and sturdy, but yes you will get splinters; so far, I have gotten three splinters and I had on rubber gloves. It is well made and study, but you have to really watch the wood splits; and when washing, use a very, very thick tower as well as gloves -- Will I buy this board again, no I would not because I am not sure if I will get wood splints in meat/or vegetables, and if so, am I able to detect splinter without touching in order to avoid splinter sticks -- Thanks for asking/enjoy your day.

Beautiful cutting board. Prior to use I washed it and sealed it with mineral oil. It has four stops on bottom to keep it from sliding. The handle comes in handy when I want to pick it up and move it to the other side of my counter. Looks great and its not too large and doesn't take up a lot of room

I've been wanting to switch to wood cutting boards and took this plunge with this one. I love the non stick feet on the bottom so the board doesn't slide. So far it hasn't stained and is holding up to use. I need to reoil it here soon, so hopefully it stays in great shape.

This is a beautiful cutting board with the blue rubber corners. I bought it to replace the Polypropylene cutting sheets sold at Target, which though non-toxic were dulling my knives prematurely. I seasoned it with cold-pressed coconut oil (I don't know what mineral oil is) and all seems fine.
