Got this to make the most of our PlayStation 5
Short VersionThe PlayStation 5 has many enhancements and advantages over the PlayStation 4, but you need a TV or monitor capable of displaying them--this TV does.Long VersionThe PlayStation 5 can run games in 4K resolution at 120 FPS, but most mid-range 4K TVs only have a native 60 Hz refresh rate, meaning they cannot display games any higher than 60 FPS (Hz = FPS = frame rate). Most brands have a "made up" frame rate with an impressive-sounding name like "motion rate" or "cinerate" or some nonsense like that followed by an "misleading" number (usually at least TWICE the native refresh rate). This is because the TV's image processing will by default add extra frames between the source frames to solve technical issues like flicker, the tendency for high frame rates to induce motion sickness, low frame rate of the video source, etc. This isn't terrible for television or films. It arguably improves the viewing experience. But for video games that can display high refresh rates, it is a problem. If your TV is rated "motion rate 120" your game console can only output 60 FPS to the TV. The TV may process it and insert extra frames, but you won't get the true 120 FPS the console can provide. What you will get is 60 FPS that is then adulterated by the TV's image processing. This may even introduce lag to the image, putting the actual game and the display oh-so-slightly out of sync. If you're paying $500 for a game console, you're wasting all of its high-tech, modern advantages by playing on a 60 Hz TV, even if the TV has a "motion rate" of 120 or higher. You could have skipped the hassle and price of upgrading the game console. All of this is to say, unless your TV's refresh rate is listed as "native 120 Hz" or higher you will not get 120 FPS from a game console. Having the refresh rate described as "motion rate X" is a clue that this will not display video games optimally. This TV is 120 Hz.

Samsung qled TV 75 in
I paid a lot of money for this TV and it stopped working after 2 and 1/2 years it's too bad that these new TVs can't last that long for the price that you have to pay for them good thing I had my 3-year protection plan extended or I would have been out of 1400 and some dollars back in the day TVs would last at least 10 years or more but that's the way things are built these days not to last beware.

BUY THIS. SERIOUSLY ITS INCREDIBLE!!!
This tv is awesome. Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews because every new model of electronics will have issues.QLED color spectrum: just incredible. It makes every color simply pop! I was watching ER from 1994 and man, a show that’s 15 years old looks like it was filmed only a couple months ago. Remember if you’re going to watch a disc, you’ll need a 4K/UHD Blu-ray player to get the most out of your tv.Software: remember when to download the most recent update from Samsung to your tv. It’s just like an iPhone, if you don’t update it may run slow or buggy. One thing I also did was uninstall then reinstall the apps so they were up to date. Worst case, because your tv is an actual computer, if it freezes (which mine has a couple of times), just press/hold the power button on the remote and it’ll reboot your tv. If you just press the power button with no hold, it more or less puts the tv in standby.Edgelit vs Backlit: I was a little worried when I saw the bleeding on a couple of screens due to edge lighting vs back lighting, but honestly I think those customers just got a lemon. It happens. Nothing anyone can do about it. I have no bleeding on my screen and the picture is absolutely stunning when viewing a 4K Blu-ray movie.Remote: the remote is universal for all Samsung products connected to the tv. As soon as I turned the tv on the sound bar and 4K Blu-ray player were immediately recognized and everything seemed to sync up. So awesome and time saving.Ambient Mode: I haven’t really played with this too much. I mean I could have my tv on with cool pictures, but I honestly don’t care. When I’m done watching I just turn it off.Overall I think this is an amazing find. The only thing I wish it had were more HDMI ports. 5 or 6 should be the new standard. Anyway, buy this tv, you honestly won’t regret it!!!

The Q70T exceeds my expectations!
The 55'' Samsung Q70T has exceeded my expectations. I bought it to replace a brand new 2020 model Vizio that just didn't quite hit the mark for me. The Q70T has an edge lit backlight without local dimming and while black bars on top and bottom of movies are a bit washed out, the black levels in the content itself are pretty dang good for what it is. There is minimal backlight bleed and the screen has good uniformity. I am watching a hockey game right now and the screen looks very clean while panning across the rink! Picture Clarity settings will definitely help improve motion but there is some blur trail. When Picture Clarity is off, the native 120hz panel displays normal TV and DVD/Blu-ray very well. I have noticed some end credits appearing a little stuttery when scrolling along the screen, but sliding Judder Reduction up a bit cleans it up without any obnoxious soap opera effect. This is my first Samsung TV and they really do like to make things bright! I am usually watching content on the stripped down Movie picture setting and Standard for Sports with some minor enhancements to keep the colors at a more realistic level than Dynamic/Natural. Overall, this TV performs well despite the fact its features (and lack thereof) are considered a downgrade to most other options available. Do your research and choose a TV that will best suit your needs. I am totally happy with the Q70T!

120 Hz is sharper than 60 Hz - SAMSUNG 65-inch Class QLED Q70T Series - 4K UHD Dual LED
The Company made good on the previous Smart TV which was lost in the delivery, but I got a refund and upgraded from a 55 inch TV 60 Hertz to a 65 inch TV with 120 Hertz, delivered promptly and in top shape Video and Audio Center is a reputable company.

Great performance for the price when on sale. Edge lit but done well.
I've only had the set for a day but spent quite a few hours checking it out. It took a while to decide to buy this set mainly because it was edge lit, no local dimming, and limited brightness (500 nits) but I decided to buy it anyway and am very glad I did. First of all, 500 Nits is nothing to sneeze at especially if you do all your viewing in a dim room - which I do.Turn off the ECO settings. It tends to dim the picture quite a bit so I have it turned off.First the good:The TV is very bright in standard mode and more than adequate in HDR.Screen brightness and colour is very uniform across the entire screen. Only the slightest vignetting along the edges. No dirty screen effect that I could see.Blacks are also very consistent with no flashlighting or bright spots anywhere. Pretty impressive!Colours are very saturated. Deep reds, greens , and yellows look great.True 120 Hz panel.TV is very responsive. It fires up right away and responds quickly to the bluetooth remote control.Straight-forward menu system although some common settings takes 5 or 6 clicks to get to.I also have an LG 65" OLED to compare it to and it isn't that far behind. The OLED does have more pop when watching HDR on Youtube or Netflix but that's to be expected.Black level (7144:1) is really good considering no local dimming, in fact it's BETTER than the Q80 (4225:1) with local dimming! It's also got a much higher contrast ratio than Sony's X900H (4786:1) and X950H (3819:1)with local dimming enabled. With a tiny bit of bias lighting, blacks look really black! The bezel is very thin - good!Haven't tried gaming yet so can't comment on lag or VRR.Now the bad (and it's a short list):The sound, while clear, sounds hollow and has very little bass. There is an equalizer available when sound is in standard mode but it has little effect. Bass is not improved. Of course, you should be using a good soundbar or separate speakers with most TVs anyways.Off-angle viewing dims the picture quite quickly. Typical for a VA panel. Not nearly as bad as my old Vizio P50 or Sharp 632U though and better than most VA screens I've seen. All plastic construction. the only metal is the aluminum feet (which I removed when wall-mounting the set).No Dolby Vision - only HD10 and HD10+. HD10+ is comparable in function with Dolby Vision but isn't used much by anyone except Samsung. Dolby Vision is not free but HD10+ is. HD10 processing is inconsistent with some movies being quite dim even with everything maxed out.The small included remote is adequate but a full function larger remote with direct access to more functions would have been great. Europe/Great Britain gets both. Why don't we?I did end up buying an extra full-function remote off Amazon for 16 bucks that works well although it's not bluetooth so you have to aim it at the TV receptor.Screen reflection handling is adequate but not great. Don't have any lights on behind you and be careful if placing near a window.By the way, I received the Cdn model QN82Q70TAFXZC not the American model described (QN82Q70TAFXZA) and that's fine. I believe they are identical anyway. My set was manufactured November 2020 so it's only a month old. When I first went and checked for a software update it said there was one but when I tried to update via the TV it wouldn't do it. I checked Samsung Canada and they had no firmware available for my set. I then checked Samsung.com (US) and sure enough they had the newer software (1460 I think) which I put on a USB stick and updated the TV. Took about 5 Min. Mine came with 1403 firmware. I can't say I noticed any improvements or differences but then again, I'd only had the set for a few hours at that point. Here's an important point.... The BRIGHTNESS setting is now actually the BACKLIGHT setting, so adjust it to how you like it. The old Brightness setting, which raised the black floor level is now called SHADOW DETAIL. If you raise that above zero, the black becomes gray (so don't do it!).So, after all is said and done, I did something I thought I would never do - buy a huge edge lit 4K TV and I'm glad I did. I did spend a few days reading/watching every review I could find and what made me finally pull the trigger was the great Black Friday pricing, free shipping, and the extremely high contrast ratio without the need for local dimming. No regrets. This is a very good set and if you can still get it on sale, a very good value. Highly recommended.*****UPDATE******It's now 11 days later and so far, owning this set has been a real pleasure. No bugs, freezing, or errors yet and after tweaking the settings further, it has a really good picture. BBC's 'Seven Worlds One Planet' looks spectacular!I understand people being P'd off that this model is a backwards step for Samsung as the previous version had local dimming along with the full array back-lighting. However, I'm judging the set purely on its performance for the price.Local dimming, while helpful, is not necessarily the holy grail for TV's. It creates its own set of problems including blooming and severe dimming of small bright highlights (like stars in the night sky). I actually prefer a very high contrast ratio that doesn't need local dimming to give a satisfactory black background. This set does that. I've owned two LG OLED's and once you get used to seeing really bright tiny highlights against a black background, you quickly realize the limitations of local dimming.Technology marches on and in a few years we'll realize that local dimming was just a little stop-gap measure to give LCD sets satisfactory black levels.Oh, and by the way, all this relates to watching your TV in a dark or dimly lit room. In the daytime, or a well-lit room at night, they all have great black levels - all of them........Just my two bits worth after owning and playing with about 14 flat panel TVs I've owned over the years....***Another Update***So, now I've had the set for over 6 months and have been totally happy with it. ........Except........2 days ago it died. Nothing. No sign of life. Dead as a door-nail. Yesterday morning I got a hold of Samsung on the phone. I tried the chat line first but the guy didn't seem to know anything and gave me poor advise. Anyway, Samsung had me do the basic stuff like verifying it had power, the remote was working etc. About 5 min. later they said I was covered by warranty and that there was a service centre in my area and I should hear from them in 24 to 48 hours. Barely 4 hours later, a nice guy phoned from the authorized service centre. We went over the basic problem. He said it was probably 1 of 2 things and would order both and I should expect him to come by in 2 to 3 days to fix the TV. Colour me impressed! I told him the 82" TV was wall-mounted and if I needed to remove it and place it on my TV stand. He said, "No, don't bother. I'll bring an extra guy and we'll do it." Wow!Anyway, I was bored so I took it off the wall myself and now it's sitting ready for their arrival. I expect it will go as planned and my set will be working well again. If not, I will update this ridiculously long review and let you know.Just one of those things. In 20 years, I've not had a failure with any of my dozen or so TVs.***Final Update***So, the Samsung service reps came by 2 days later, and half an hour later my set was fixed! There is only two small boards inside (plus the speaker boxes) - the power board and the main board which is the one he replaced. Now, here's the real bit of info that I found out about later. Apparently, a dead crow was found on my neighbours sidewalk the same day my TV died. Apparently it shorted a couple of high voltage lines that run by our houses. My neighbour said that there was a loud noise and a voltage surge which went through their house. I wasn't home at the time but I figure that may have been what toasted my TV. Will never know for sure but NOW everything electronic is protected with high quality surge protected power bars!
