We really like this salt. It tastes like regular NaCL and has no metalic taste as many low sodium salts do. It also takes less than regular salt to use on food. We also use it for pasta and baking.

I have been trying to reduce my sodium intake and lower my blood pressure. I ordered this to split with my mom. It has significantly less sodium than regular table salt but still has an equally salty flavor. Other low-sodium salts I've tried simply aren't salty enough and you have to use so much more to get the same saltiness. The cons: there is definitely a metallic aftertaste. I'm jealous of the people who can't taste it. I will say, though, I've been adding it to my husband's food, and he hasn't noticed any difference in taste. If you do a 50/50 mix of this product and regular salt, you reduce the aftertaste and are still using less sodium. If you use it in cooking, the aftertaste is not that noticeable, but if you just add it straight to food, such as eggs, I can taste a somewhat bitter, metallic aftertaste. It's not terrible, but noticeable to me. The pros: It's just as salty as regular salt with substantially less sodium, and of course, it's high in potassium. I've been using this daily as a substitute for much of my salt for the past few weeks, and since I started doing this, my blood pressure has lowered and is in the normal range now. I was struggling to get enough potassium in my diet to get my diastolic number under 80, but now it's around 75, which is a significant improvement. I will continue using this salt just for that benefit, alone. I think if you buy this realizing there might be a bit of an aftertaste, but you're okay with the tradeoff of way lower sodium with the same level of saltiness and the added benefit of potassium, it's a good choice.

Has helped my blood pressure significantly. Taste is noticeably different from table salt, when eaten out of hand. When used in cooking, I really can’t taste a difference. I’ve made broth, roasted chicken and steaks. All good. I’ve made seasoned salt blends with onion powder, garlic, paprika, etc. Also very good. The products is very fine, so it is easy to overdo it. I do wish there was an accurate chemical analysis available. The information in the product listing lists multiple values for sodium amounts per serving. Subtracting 1 star because I don’t really know what I’m eating. Lastly, just remember that this is still a high sodium food. Use in moderation and your blood pressure should improve quite a bit.

I have tried 5-6 varieties of mixed mineral salts from around the world and come back to this one as my mainstay. The Mexican also raised my blood pressure significantly, leading me to believe it was false advertising. A week ago, it was back in perfect range and has stayed there. I use this in my structured water daily and enjoy the taste.

Let me tell you how great this salt is. The flavor is strong just like regular table salt! It has much less sodium for those trying to reduce sodium intake but don’t want to sacrifice on flavor. The price is sure, more expensive than table salt but it’s worth it for the reduced sodium and the potassium is a good mineral for your body as well. One small drawback is that this does tend to solidify in the shaker. Every day before use I hit it against my hand or counter to free the granules, small price to pay for a low sodium salt!

This is the BEST salt substitute I have ever discovered and I have tried most. The primary ingredient is Potassium Chloride instead of sodium chloride. They use salt from the dead sea. Does it taste EXACTLY like salt. No. But it tastes 85% like it and that is enough to fool your taste buds. What is the big advantage? Well, pure table salt has 575 milligrams of sodium per 1/4 tablespoon. The same amount of Aromasong has 190 mg. Plus it has 280 mg. of Potassium, which is a sodium antagonist. In other words, Potassium inhibits the absorption of sodium, further counteracting its effects in your body. I use this type of salt exclusively now.

Yum! As an ultrarunner who knows the importance of adequate potassium, but cannot eat ripe bananas, and just has to eat so many bananas im sick of them already, I'm thrilled to find a more natural source of high potassium salt. Everyone is all "sea salt, bla bla bla" and i'm like, "but, potassium! Magnesium! Calcium! Zinc! What about those salts, huh?" And they're just like "sea salt, gotta be sea salt" and im like "where do you think any salt comes from, like salt mines were seas once, and we still need potassium." Then i explain how kidneys work and what happens when we eat sodium without other salts too. And they're like "sea salt". This is replacing my regular household salt. So yeah, i can tell everyone it's sea salt to shut them up already, and i and they can eat potassium like they should because i'm right and know what's good for them. I tasted it and its yummy and salty. I've never noticed any odd flavors with other low salt blends, but im honest so now i can tell them it's sea salt. I will also add this (and a couple other salts i want) to my drinking water for ultraruns, and my salted lime ice water "nightcap" drinks during fasts. Yay! Thank you for making this product available elsewhere on the planet. Update: still loving this two years later. It's such a staple in my cooking and eating, and everyone else accepts it as salt.... no one complains that it is not anything enough. The potassium is really a godsend.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this salt a few times already as the potassium source, and only now I have noticed that in Nutrition section the potassium is not mentioned at all!! It is mentioned in ingredients as potassium chloride, but it is a mystery how much of it there as well as other 21 minerals advertised on the package. Is it just a trace, negligible amount, or it can be count as a source of potassium? If I get an answer to this I will most likely put 5 stars.

Bien alors, wow qu'elle belle découverte ! Prenez note que le goût direct sur votre doigt n'est pas bon, ça goûte le sel mais en plus fort, PAR CONTRE, dans les aliments, que ce soit sur une tomate ou dans une recette, alors ça goûte le sel, il n'y a aucun arrière goût....!!!! C'est vraiment magique ! Le sodium est dangereux pour la santé et il ne faut pas dépasser 2000 mg de sodium par jour....faites attention ! Ce produit est la SOLUTION! N'OUBLIEZ PAS qu'il n'est pas bon au goût si vous y goûter avec le doigt mais QU'IL EST TRÈS BON directement dans les aliments. Tastes and looks like regular table salt, perhaps a bit milder. But I swear I can actually 'feel' the potassium. I think my body just feels calmer more often throughout the day after using it for just a couple of weeks. I'll be ordering more of this. It's a little pricey for salt, but a total bargain as a potassium supplement. I notice it tends to clump a bit...I use a desiccant pack in the jar I store it in, and that solves the problem entirely.

Good taste. Good source of Potassium and good for people with hypertension.

I have never had salt issues or sugar issues all my life, but I have a condition in my leg that required attention; I stopped adding salt to my food and bam issue dealt with. Then I purchased this low sodium product with more powerfull taste and finer grain size with excellent results; not 0 but much better. On this it is to each their own.
