Does the radio send a true two-channel stereo signal - one channel to the left earpiece and one channel to the right earpiece?

No stereo on this radio but still very nice speaker in this lovely Prunus J-777 in white color.

Should i embrace the brand name, prunus?

Yes, go with your inner PRUNE.... When you do, people will know you as a PRUNUS Owner. It is a name that in English would not be chosen by a US manufacturer. But the unit is: good looking, packaging so nice, it looks more expensive than it is and it comes with a custom draw-string bag. I keep it in my cargo pocket when at work. It is made well and sounds good. Buy it, you'll like it. Hope that gets you over PRUNUS name.
