Pretty decent design overall. The clip REALLY has a tight grip. For my needs I probably would wish that it had some sort of pressure based lever at the top that would weaken the grip enough to make it slide on and off my belt easier. As it is, I'm practically tearing up my belt to slide it on (because it is so tight) --- for some that is good (very tight clip), for others like me it's a minor annoyance. I'm finding that I have to pre-open the clip with my finger-tips about mid-way down the height of the clip (being mindful not to open more than about half a millimeter) in order to get it on and off and that somewhat hurts the fingertips. I'll probably get used to that. For my needs I would deduct half a star due to the way the clip is designed and my daily usage requirements. However, it's a clip and excels at it's job by clipping tightly. For that I will round my 4.5 star review to a 5 stars as opposed to rounding downwards to 4 stars. Velcro flap is fine. Also, it perfectly fits the specified canisters. Overall, satisfied with this purchase. The one take-away for the manufacturer is find a better design for the clip to get it on and off a belt. Any feedback to my comment is welcome.

This holster works fine. It perfectly holds my two ounce Fox Labs pepper spray container. I bought this holster because of the clip. I find it much easier to put on than my old holster which had a loop and I had to feed my belt thought the loop. One improvement would be to have the retention "bump" at the bottom of the clip be a "ramp" on the lower side to make it easier to slip the holster over your belt. The clip is quite stiff, which is a good thing, but getting it on can be a challenge as you have to pull the clip away from the holster to get it over your belt. This is on my standard belt and is even more of a challenge on my extra thick gun holster belt.

I bought this belt clip to put my small canister of pepper spray in. Much easier to clip on pants than to carry pepper spray in pocket. Keeps my hands free and is easy to grab if needed. Use for my personal safety and always have on me when walking my dog. These clip on your pants are hard to find. Many require belts but not this one.

Ok but not real durable

UPDATE: After using this for a few months I just needed to update my review - The metal clip is way too weak. The metal bends ridiculously easily when pulling open the velcro closure. In the moment I need my pepper spray I can't deal with the whole clip bending open. I have had cheap cell phone holsters with better clips. I can't imagine why they used this soft, flexible metal when cheaper products have used better clips. The clip bent several times when the holster gets snagged on something. I had to use pliers to bend it back. I still like the canvas part and velcro. This is why I gave it the 2 stars. I simply can't recommend getting this holster due to the clip though! Here's my original review: I overall like this holster but the metal clip bends open too easily. The canvas and velcro closure have been holding up great. It fits my pepper spray perfectly and protects it. Not too bulky either - an important aspect for me. However, the metal clip really should be more resilient than this. I have several other belt clip holsters for cell phones, flashlight, medical gloves / CPR mask that all hold up just fine under similar circumstances. I know that it's a fine balance between strong enough that the clip stays closed but not too strong that it makes it too difficult to get on and off your belt / waist band. Luckily I'm able to bend the clip back closed with pliers but not sure it'll hold up well for long-term.

I use this with the Fox one point four OC spray. Fits well, closes securely, and the clip is more than snug enough to hold the holster to your pants while you’re pulling out your spray. The only issue might be reinserting the can in a high duress situation due to the top flopping back down, and possibly velcroing itself together prior to reinsertion. No regrets with the purchase.
