Had one previously, liked so much came back for this 10 pack. Seller includes bonus all-metal knife & these are good quality
I've had one of these previously and liked it so much I ordered this 10 pack to put in stockings this year. We're a fishing family, so knives always come in handy.I have an EYN phone case - it's a type that has an extra compartment on the back you can keep cards or other stuff in, and has a little mirror in it. I've kept one of these in that for the last year and it's been very useful. The knife is very sharp. The fold up is easy and does provide good stability for the knife, but you do need to be a little mindful of pressure and angles when using this. It's to be expected, I think, given the style of the product, but figured I'd mention. The blades are good quality for how thin they are. Very sharp and my previous one has held it edge through many fishing line cuts and other incidentals (including box opening).I only opened and folded one up that's going to go in my regular wallet. I didn't fold all the rest, so they'd still feel new to whoever I give them to, but I did open and check them all and they feel and look correct.Side note, the seller included 1 extra knife, done with all metal. As in each section has a metal plate on it, and you fold it up as normal. It does make it a lot sturdier and I'm keeping that one for my truck :p It makes it a tad thicker than the others, but it still fits in a wallet credit card slot. Handy and a nice touch.I’m good about updating if something pops up. Any questions, feel free to comment or email.

These are absolutely wonderful and useful knives!
I’ve been living with these knives for several days now, and I absolutely love them. Let me first say that if they at first appear flimsy and weak, or if the bad reviews scare you off, try adjusting your grip - and your expectations. An extremely rugged survival/self defense knife these are most certainly not (although as they say, when you are in a situation the best knife to have is the knife that you do have, and some knife is better than no knife in any case - I will certainly always have one of these tucked away), but as a general purpose/utility knife, these work very well indeed. I am not sure how long the one I am using will last but so far so good. So far I have used it to open boxes and packages, slice cheese, slice an orange, cut an egg, slice chicken, and as shown in one of the pictures above, slice open a package of chocolate. I will put it to further use soon! The reason I mentioned adjusting your grip is that in order to best hold the knife together while cutting, using the thumb guard to help grip it as you cut is important. If you hold it firmly, it shouldn’t spring open as some folks have mentioned - or at least it hasn’t for me when I hold it in this way. I’ve included a couple of photos to help illustrate the grip I find works best; they aren’t the one with the knife over my keyboard, but the ones over my bed with the checkered background. Holding the thumb guard is good to help prevent the knife from popping open, and putting a finger along the top of the knife helps when slicing. The grip is a bit different from gripping other knives, but once you get the hang of it it kind of becomes second nature. I might keep one of these in my kitchen drawer actually, to replace a utility knife I had for years but somehow lost. AndSo far I have not used the additional metal plated knife JJMG included free with the ten “regular” knives - thanks for that! - it is heavier than the other knives and feels like it would possibly stand up to sturdier/more rugged usage, but so far so good with the regular knives, which have metal, black knife blades and plastic handles. The free knife does feel more durable, noticeably also in the hinges where you fold it; because it is studier it is also heavier and thicker. So there is a trade off. I think the lighter ones will fit better in my wallet (and they do; I’ve included a picture of a regular knife in my wallet, in the plastic sheath it comes in as I find that works better for me than leaving it loose). The pictures are to show how the knives arrive and what’s in the package and what they look like. The regular knives arrive in a bag that says JJMG inside which are the knives, individually wrapped in clear plastic sheaths; along with that comes the sturdier metal plated knife in not just its own plastic sheath, but also a leatherette sleeve - a nice touch! To show the relative sizes, I’ve shown them in credit card form next to my (credit card sized) transit card. Sure enough, they are the size of a credit card. The black ones are about the thickness of a credit card also, or two credit cards at most, and the silver one is maybe the thickness of two and a half credit cards. The knives fold and snap into their knife form after you turn the safety button so that it is unlocked. The set doesn’t come with instructions on the folding, but briefly, you turn the safety off, fold the knife back, and then fold the smaller part up, and the larger part gets folded down down over this, and snaps into place onto the top edge of the folded smaller piece. If that’s badly written or hard to follow (I have a tough time writing them sometimes so I know it’s not just me), it might be helpful to you if you search YouTube for “credit card knife;” there are several video reviews which will show you how it’s done. As a visual learner myself, this was just the thing. One thing that took me a bit to figure out is that the safety button moves more easily if you squeeze it from both sides of the card, rather than simply trying to twist it on the top of the card with your fingernail. Another suggestion is to flip the blade out and back by folding back the rear part of the blade instead of trying to flip out the tip from the tip. Made it so much easier, safer, and quicker for me!Also of note, I have seen that several reviews mention the TSA and that they confiscate these knives. I would imagine that they would (and in fact if you look these up on YouTube, there are visors about this, and one about a boy who got in trouble with his school for having a few in his knapsack. It’s a sad part of the video story actually, even as it’s beautiful.I haven’t yet had occasion to fly with these, but when I do I will hopefully remember to put them in my checked luggage and not try to make it onto the plane with them. These would make wonderful small gifts or stocking stuffers as well as “emergency gifts” and gifts for folks who love gadgets or who seem to already have everything/are hard to get good gifts for, and I do plan to give one to my dad and to some friends as well; I am sure they will love them and find them useful - and I imagine you would, too!I’ll definitely come back when I run out of these. They are my current favorite new to me thing.

One star despite my loving them!
These knives are so wonderful! However, about 3 out of every 10 is DOA (dead on arrival). The problem is always the same - the rotating lock will not rotate. This extremely high failure rate makes the knives roughly 50% expensive than advertised. If they were simply listed as costing $2 apiece instead of $1.30, I would probably be completely happy. However, they are misrepresented as costing only $1.30 apiece. That is what I mind - the sense of deception and deceit.Apart from that, the knives - those that work - are terrific! I bought one for each young man in my congregation and they are thrilled. I did this for my previous congregation - every young man from age 11 to 18 - and they just loved them.I recommend the *concept* most emphatically. This vendor is a poor representation of the concept, so I'll look for another supplier right now when I order another 20.(Note: This review is about "10 pack Credit Card Knife Folding Blade Knife by JJMG Pocket Mini Wallet Camping Outdoor Pocket Tools Folding Tactical Knife survival knife" by JJMG.)

Great product, great value
These are great. The 10 pack is a great deal and let's you give several away as gifts. Included in my pack of 10 was an 11th one with a gold painted blade as a bit of a bribe for a good review. It wasn't needed. I would have given these 5 stars without it, but it was nice to get an extra one. My only wish is that they were all metal, but the only metal is the blade, the rest is plastic, but given the price, full metal just isn't reasonable. They do not come with any instructions on how to fold them up, so I will tell you now, you fold the blade back, then the smallest corner, then the largest corner and they click into place. Everyone I've given them to thinks they are just really neat.
