The thread seems to be very strong as I wanted. What they do not tell you is that it seems to be thick and waxed. I did not want that but maybe what I seek does not exist.

This is not machine thread! It catches in the eye-of-the-needle and pulls the machine tension all out of wack. It is waxed and that doesn't help the needle either.It is for Hand Sewn thing,s only.

It's too thick and gets stuck in my Singer machine every time. Or maybe it's the wax. Whatever it is, it doesn't work well with a sewing machine.

I’ve used this thread before for upholstery repairs and it does the job nicely. Several reviewers have noted that it doesn’t work in their machines, whether commercial or regular. That is because the thread is waxed and is not intended to run through the many eyes involved in machine sewing. This is thread intended for hand sewing with heavy duty fabrics like upholstery fabric or leather. Needles for this must be larger bore than those used for clothes or soft crafts and leave a larger hole in the fabric. Standard thread will snap and will not adequately fill the hole left by the needle. I also noticed that a few reviewers mention that they have commercial sewing machines. Commercial or regular retail, it is the purpose of the machine that matters. Machines made for sewing upholstery and leather are different than those made for clothes and soft crafts. This thread will not work in a general purpose machine, whether commercial or retail. I’ve been happy with this thread and have been buying it through my local fabric store. With COVID, I didn’t want to go out for thread and was really happy to see this listed on Amazon. I have two chairs that need some serious attention - perfect activities to do while watching holiday movies.

Absolutely fabulous!!!! Strong and easy to use. Perfect for thick fabrics which is what I bought them for. The needles are a huge bonus as I hadnt realised they were included!!! Great value for money.

It wasn't clear from the product listing, but the thread is very thick. It is unsuitable for use in a standard sewing machine, you would need an industrial one. I will keep it for any hand mending jobs I may need to do in the future.

Ok I thought I could use these wive my sewing machine but was totally as I so I set them aside, but in a way it was a good thing I did but the set because my sandles broke so I decided to repair them, well I have had them now for 13yrs so now they may last me that again i can only hope

Not for regular sewing machine This thread is super thick and strong. Bobby will not spin. Almost broke my needle. I just needed regular sewing thread and this is not it. Good for hand stitching canvas material.

Although somehow I failed to notice that it came with a selection of needles - a very good selection as it turned out.
