I found this AFTER installing an air conditioner without using support and I'm still frightened about that first one I installed more than a year ago. That one is big and heavy - and I had my very strong cousin install it.Now I don't want to move it, but eventually I do know that I need another one of these supports to take care of that one, too.For years we lived in our house without using air conditioners at all. In 2019 a serious heat wave caused us to buy one. With the pandemic in 2020, I realized early that since I'd be working at home I needed a second one for my home office for the summer and stumbled upon this support. The most inspiring thing about it is that you don't have to use screws in your window frame for this to work. This was relatively easy to put together if you pay attention to the directions.Because the room I use for my home office is much smaller I use a much smaller air conditioner in that room and I could do everything myself.One of my cousins followed my lead and purchased the same small air conditioner I purchased and the support, but after her purchase - she changed her mind and installed a "whole house" cooling and heating system - and then gave me the identical small air conditioner I'd purchased for my home office... so I put that one - with this support - in another bedroom.This is more costly than the type of support that needs screws. I strongly recommend it and once installed you can see that the capacity can fit a small 5000 to 8000 BTU air conditioner - or up to a 12,000 to 18,000 BTU air conditioner tool.Once properly installed, it feels very sturdy. One of the key suggestions is that you adjust it with a slight tilt out of your window so that condensation will drip outside the window.ALSO GET THE THICK FOAM you need before installation of the Air Conditioner. This is a great idea and a terrific alternative to installing a window air conditioner that merely rests on the window frame and is held in place by a closed window. But it is certainly not a simple installation, especially if you are not handy.I suggest you have the following available when you install this:1. Small level, to install this with a gradual slope away from the house.2. Remove the spring-lock adjustments from the strut arms, and after determining the strut-arm angle for the correct slope, replace with 4 pieces of 1/4" bolts 3 inches long. Use wing-nuts for a seasonal installation, or lock-nuts for a long term install.3. A weather-proof ratcheting strap to secure the air conditioner unit to the bracket outside the window. The a/c unit will probably not slide off, but if you inadvertently open your window, you never know. Best to be safe.4. Air conditioner foam insulation kit. Your air conditioner is resting on the bracket now, and not on the window frame, so it is slightly higher, which leaves space that needs to be insulated and bug-proofed.

It was broken when I took it out of the box. It looked like it could have held a small air conditioner with no problem. I also had read the instructions and it would have been easy to install. I returned it. They refunded me the money in a timely manner.

Installation was a breeze. Must have if you want a solid adjustable mount. It's been a year now and it's still holding up well.

The item is sturdy but because of the “legs” on the AC it does not fit into the space to sit on the window space. The mount blocks it so there is a large gap at the bottom of the window and unit. Had to make a fitted block to keep the AC steady on the bracket.

I had gone to thd to purchase window a/c brackets. I bought 2 different kinds, one that was similar to this one but with one leg that was trash! The other I ended up buying 2 to see if they would work, and also trash!!! The brand is a/c safe! Decided to get this one instead and I was already thinking it was going to give us some kind of trouble, but it didn't!!! It was so easy to place and everything!!! I should've just started here!!! You will not regret this purchase!!!

Loved these. I bought 2. They are adjustable to fit most windows

I ordered a different brand before for the same price and it came with foam to seal the gaps, which this one didn’t. They also used less rubber on the feet. It is ok, but for the money, it could be better!

A bit tricky to adjust to the perfect angle, but when this is done, the rest is a breeze. Will last for ever.
