Chicks! (Step into Reading)

My 6 year old love this book. I think it is on the harder side of the reading level. But very manageable for her.

We regularly keep chickens, When it came time to get baby chicks I thought it would be neat to start teaching my kids about the life cycle. They are toddlers, so I will have to read this book to them but it is simple enough for them to understand now. It will be a great book for them to grow with and learn to read with. Simple sentences and vocabulary. Great glossary in the back. Pictures that illustrate abstract concepts. I purchased the butterfly life cycle and frog life cycle as well. All were a great price point.

Great read

This is an easy reader book. Although it tells a fictional story about a family getting baby chicks, everything is accurate and educational.

Perfect book for your beginning reader. Words are decodable and the story has substance enough for your young reader to retell.

My son loves it

We grew chicks at school in Kindergarten . This was a perfect follow up for the life cycle of chickens!

my granddaughter is one years old and loves this book. Has a really cute story. Beautiful pictures.

My grandson has become a chicken farm helper and is very interested in how baby chicks are made so this book was great!
