Fast charging.
Charger may seem light, but charges batteries very fast. Fantastic for what I needed.

As good as the original
My old charger broke. I’ve found this replacement which is much cheaper than my original model. However, it works marvelously well.

Worked perfectly to replace a non-functional Hitachi charger
I bought an old Hitachi electronic screw driver dirt cheap at a business sale - as is. But the batteries would not charge, and the light on the charger from the kit never came on. I purchased this to replace that charger. It charged the old batteries up no problem, and has an indicator light that shows when it is charging and when it is done. I paid more for this than the screw gun, but still a good deal!

Avoid - Failed Design
While this product appaers to be resonable quality, it has two flaws - the first one is bad: - Unit actually dissipates/depletes battery when the charger is unplugged with the battery inserted - Cord to too short for practical placement Thus, your battery will be fully depleted during a power outage by its own charger (you can't make this stuff up). Also, wany of us use an external timer to turn chargers on and off every few days or weeks - this is to avoid over-charging the battery when the charger is poorly designed. Not sure this is the case here, but only time will tell. Guys - its not rocket science to design a proper charger.

Inexpensive replacement for charger
The charger that came with my last power screwdriver (Hitachi) did the fizz-bang-blow-up-burn-out. I was not amused and didn't want to invest in yet another brand -- having had the Hitachi for well over 10 years -- since Hitachi has become some other company that I have no experience with. I use my power screwdriver A LOT and have eight batteries . . . just wanted to find something that would let me charge them and move on. Found this item in searching on the battery charger part number . . . bought it . . . tested it . . . it works so I'm happy.

Charges the battery
It does the job charging my Hitachi 3.6v battery but not as quick as the OEM charger. That's not an issue since I have several batteries I can switch out and it's much smaller than the OEM charger. No complaints.
