Lock is frustrating.
The bag itself seems legit and of high quality. However, it’s far too easy to accidentally change the combination of the lock.I reset the combination as instructed and went about cinching and locking the bag. That worked fine. When I unlocked the bag I must have reset the combination as the shackle locked open at a 45 degree angle. I attempted to contact customer service, email was the only option. After going a little crazy trying to figure it out, I referred to the FAQ. Turns out this is a common mistake and I had accidentally reset the combo to one number off. I played with it and sure enough that was the case. The lock opened one digit off. I attempted to change it back to my original combo and must have accidentally reset the combination again to a now unknown number.Again, the bag itself seems great and a much needed accoutrement for boaters and travelers like me. However, I can’t trust the lock from too easily resetting its combination. Frustrating and disappointing, I really need something like this.

Looks great, but does not hold up as advertised.
I brushed up against a fence railing and the bag tore. I would not trust this bag as far as it’s been advertised. I’m certain a quality knife would cut right through it. Would like my money back. It’s a nice looking bag and I was thrilled when I received it, but when I saw the damage done to it from simple use, I have lost confidence with the advertised qualities and features of this product.Major buyers remorse. The price of the product does not reflect the value.

Backpack strap wires fray and poke you.
I like the bag, fabric is nice and it closes quite well. Others have mentioned the clunky lock - it didn’t bother me on this trip.I have issues with the straps. The metal security wires inside are apparently fraying and poke through the strap material (it hurts). Took the bag on its first trip and in about an hour in one wire came through. It stuck out about a quarter inch and was quite sharp. I borrowed cutters, snipped it off and worked it back in. Then at the end of the trip another one came through. Since I was taking a plane I had nothing useful to fix it. Unfortunately I was about two weeks outside of the month return window so the company would not help. In my opinion $210 is a lot for a bag that stabs me.UPDATE: second trip and another wire (this one was sticking out maybe 1/16”). I didn’t find it in time and it ended up rubbing a little tear in my puffer coat. I have changed the rating from two stars to a one star.Am disappointed the company would not help with the strap.

Very secure backpack for travel
My wife & got one each for international travel. They're expensive but the security features are as advertised. The packs are slightly clunky and not light but that goes with the territory. We don't like the locks. They look cool but are heavy and a bit clumsy to use. Resetting the 3-digit code is awkward yet could happen by mistake, which I've read some people have done. We cut the locks off (with bolt-cutters) and replaced them with lighter, 4-digit locks we bought separately. Otherwise, we like these security backpacks quite a bit.

Fantastic secure backpack
I've always wanted a backpack that could lock up like this. I'm the one that would wrap a strap from my backpack around a chair or something secure to make it not quite a easy to steal. This one has an actual lock and tough as hell straps and fabric to prevent it from being cut. Yea, a simple bolt cutter would work, but most spur of the moment thieves aren't carrying that around. The entire backpack feels extremely durable and well made, including the zippers. The different compartments are very practical as well. $200 well spent with no regrets.

Locked out but not for long! Company is sending me new pack. Thank you
If you mess up setting your lock you are out ”of lock” with this pack. Impossible to reset the lock and can’t remove it since it’s attached firmly to the pack, a design flaw. I had to get another lock so now I have the open lock dangling from the pack. The directions given by customer support in this case don’t really help. I would have to sit there for hours to figure out the permutations of 3 digits. Trying to get in touch with a real person Is impossible and it seems their consumer support bot is Abby- she answers all inquiries. yes it shouldn’t be this hard considering the price

If you need to keep your personal items safe, this is a no-brainer!
This product was purchased because I started a new job where I learned there was a great deal of theft and I do not have a place to store my wallet or personal items. It’s been wonderful so far but I have one minor complaint. It is sooo inconvenient to lock this bag tightly, and I think it is because I am so weak lol you need to have some strength to get a tight cinch! So it takes a few moments and I probably look like a psycho locking up my stuff but honestly, I don’t care. Nothing has been stolen and that’s the point. It works, it’s just not so quick if you’re in a hurry and need something fast but that’s the whole point right? It’s not suppose to be easy to get into...I’m glad this product exists, I just wish the lip of the bag was the same circumference as the bottom base and not so hard to lock. Other than that, love it!!!

Nice, but....
This is an expensive backpack, and you're paying for the security feature, which [fortunately for me] have not been put to the test.I knocked one star off since the straps do eventually become uncomfortable as they are thin and leather when you're carrying this around for any length of time. The manufacturer should provide some pads that can be velcroed around the straps, and this would make the sack comfortable.
