This book has my go-to sugar cookie recipe—absolutely FLAWLESS and barely lasted two days in the cookie jar for a batch of 20! Today I made the lemon oat crumble bars and they’re really scrumptious! The perfect chilled treat on a hot summer day! The brown sugar cookies have an amazing, rich flavor (eating just two is enough!), and the “favorite brownies” are a hit too! This book for sure is my go-to cookie and bars book! Can’t wait to get her Afternoon Sweets book that comes out in October! ❤️ EDIT: And to answer a previous reviewer’s question of if caster sugar can be used in place of American granulated sugar—the answer is YES—as I am an American living in the UK, and caster sugar works perfectly in these recipes. ! I do also appreciate that weights are in grams. 🙂

I bought this for my friend as a Christmas present and I can't wait for her to open it! I wanted to get her a baking book but of things you would actually make often like cookies/traybakes etc so this one was perfect. There are so many good recipes in it, I wouldn't know which one to choose first if it was me and I think I'm going to have to ask for a copy myself at some point because I'm jealous haha. Delivery was super fast too

Lovely book love the touch of it having a ribbon book mark attached to it too. It is based on American terminology for ingredients and tonight I've discovered grahams crackers are plain digestive biscuits and canola oil is rapeseed oil... you learn something new every day I suppose. Great thick book would definitely recommend

This is really a good book! If you’re out of ideas the recipes in it are sure to inspire you. And they’re not too complicated. This us one book I’ll consult often.

Many of the recipes look delicious, but to start with, we made the choc chip pan banging cookies. A new technique to us, but this kept us busy on a Sunday evening and staved off our Sunday evening blues and anxiousness about the week ahead. For that alone I'm grateful but we also ended up with something delicious for our lunch boxes too..

Bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend and I think he will love it - flicking through, there are so many amazing-looking recipes in here! So much variety, and for such good value - I would really recommend!

Buy this book … that’s all there is to say !! It’s the best cookie ( and more ) book I have got … lemon sugar cookies anyone ? Easy to follow instructions and superb results every time . Yes , it’s an American book so you need to covert all- purpose flour into our plain etc but honestly it is so worth it . Just buy it and see for yourself . You’re welcome

I cannot say enough good things about this book! I spent a few weeks contemplating whether I really needed another baking book, but I broke down after trying several free recipes in her blog; her Neapolitan Shortbread is next level and the best cookie batter I’ve ever tasted. Take my word for it that I glimpsed heaven. As an expat raising kiddos in Europe, I really appreciate having this bible of good ol’ American cookies and glad I bought it. I find her sugar to be just right for anyone who predates “Crumbl”, although you could take it down a bit more based on personal preference. I’ve uploaded the Table of Contents since that’s what I really wanted to know before purchasing. I had found the contents of 1-4 elsewhere on the internet and was delighted upon delivery to see there were 3 more chapters of yummy recipes, including the listed-after neopolitan cookies! All this to say, you won’t regret this purchase.
