I've used this product over multiple growing seasons, and it's become my first choice whenever slugs or snails start causing damage in the garden. The thing is, I don't have a slug problem every year. Some seasons they're barely noticeable, while other years they'll suddenly start chewing holes in leaves and leaving telltale damage on plants. When that happens, a few applications of this usually bring the problem under control. Most of my experience has been in vegetable beds, particularly with tomatoes and peppers. Those are crops I've invested enough time and effort into that I'm not interested in sharing them with slugs. When damage starts showing up, this is what I reach for. I can't say I've spent much time observing the actual demise of slugs and snails, but I can say that after applying this product, the evidence of their activity tends to disappear. For me, that's all the proof I need that it's doing its job. One thing I particularly appreciate is the active ingredient. While I'm not opposed to using stronger pesticides when they're truly necessary, I generally prefer starting with the least toxic option that will get the job done. The fact that this uses iron phosphate rather than some of the harsher alternatives makes it an easy first choice. This worked well for getting rid of slugs and snails in my garden. I started noticing a difference pretty quickly after applying it, and within a few days the problem was much more under control. It’s easy to spread and covers a decent area for the size. I like that it targets the pests without being overly complicated to use. Just sprinkle it around the affected areas and let it do its thing. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that you do need to reapply after watering or rain, but that’s pretty typical with products like this. Overall, a solid solution if you’re dealing with slugs and snails.

It also has good nutrients for the soil, so you can't go wrong using it. It's very easy to use and effective; just use once and done!

I have an edible garden but I wanted to be able to actually eat from it and not have to be cutting and throwing away my produce because of snails. I am not sure why this review has me rate the "flavor" but I am going to assume it means did the snails like it. These are NOT edible so...yeah. Pros: *These work as intended but do not put them inside the dirt they will mold. I took the advice from other reviews and I sprinkled them around the pots on inside them and it still worked since they went after these instead of my plants. Cons: *After you wet these, or get your surface wet and then sprinkle these on top, they will get real sticky and start to mold after a while. I am so grateful for other reviews that warned me beforehand and sprinkling them on the outside worked just as well. Conclusion: Yes, they eat this and seemed to prefer it and it stopped them from eating my plants but don't put them inside your plant pots. I wouldn't recommend them if you are going to put them on dirt in the ground cause it will cause mold to grow. Also if you place them down make sure it isn't going to rain. It just washes them away. It becomes like mushy after they soak up water.

This stuff works great! I live in an apartment and have a ton of plants on the porch and patio. These weigh just enough they dont get blown away by the wind and after a few days my plants were no longer getting eaten down to the roots
