My son is four and we love practicing our math with this. I saw this toy at a STEM store we have in town but they had a smaller module. My child is a little more rough with things and it’s sturdy enough for him. All the weights are different colors and they all have numbers on them. All the pieces are fun (all are monsters) and different shapes that stay standing up (they are bottom heavy, which helps children learn how the numbers are supposed to read. I’m in love with this and wish I knew about this earlier.

I must first admit, I purchased this and am using this with a Toddler who is under the recommended age. I bought this when she was 18 months old and around 20 months, I started introducing her to the concept of heavy, light, and equal. Now at 21 months, it seems that she is actually starting to grasp the concept as she gets excited when the monster’s arms are balanced. I love that it’s introducing her to math in a fun and playful way that she enjoys.After each play, I put the monster and weight pieces back into the box and she tends to pull this toy out a few times each week to play with, so I would say she finds joy in playing with it.As for quality, it has a wood base with plastic arms. It feels like it may be a little flimsy at first, but I think that’s just the nature of having the free floating arms so that it functions as a scale, and it has held up to our young toddlers play without any issues. I am personally very satisfied with the quality, and have been satisfied with the quality of toys from Hape toys each time I have purchased from them.I would definitely purchase this item again or as a gift for a toddler/young child.

Great for a Five year old learning skills.

My 4 year old loves this. He learns better the numbers and also tries different objects to test what weights more.The build quality looks solid so far and the 4 year old is able to assemble the parts by himself.

I expect it to be a little better quality and heavier.

This is the cutest toy! I got it for a back to school gift for my preschooler and she loves experimenting to balance it out not just with the included monster weights but things around the house. Great quality! Holding up great even with a rough 1.5 year old in the house playing with it.

Ignore the marketing pictures for this being a toddler toy! This is an awesome visual support for Kindergarteners and first graders learning to add, subtract, and decompose numbers within 20. I am a K/1 teacher and this is one of the best math supports I have ever seen! This is perfect for home practice, homeschooling, classrooms, and resource rooms. It is so helpful for kids to visual their math and get instant feedback if there ideas are correct. Awesome product!!

Ich gebe zu, ich war sehr skeptisch hinsichtlich der Genauigkeit der Waage.Aber ich wurde zum Glück eines besseren belehrt. Versand erfolgt wie gewohnt schnell. Verpackung etc. alles Top.Spiel ausgepackt und gleich mal mit Kind kinderleicht aufgebaut und ausprobiert. Hierzu werden nur die „Hände“ (Teller) fest auf die Waage montiert und schon kann es los gehen. Alle Gewichte lassen tadellos sich richtig wiegen und so verflog bereits beim ersten Spielen die Zeit.Auch als die Waage leider einmal vom Tisch vor lauter Begeisterung viel, ging keines der Teile (da doch einiges an Plastik dabei) nicht kaputt.Ich würde es wieder kaufen und kann es nur empfehlen 👍
