Great Case
Like most other reviewers of this product, I was looking for a case that was reasonably priced since I wanted it for a bass that isn't exactly the most expensive guitar. I'm thoroughly pleased with the case. It's very sturdy and looks great. My bass fits snugly. The inside compartment is great for misc. items. My case has a locking latch, which was a pleasant surprise. The only criticism I have is the latches. I really don't like anything that's gold in color. Also, the latches look a little on the cheap side. But for $39 including shipping, this case is the best deal in town. I think anyone who purchases it will be happy they did.

Works well for my Ibanez GSR100!
This is a great case to store your instrument. It's not make to withstand the punishment of checked baggage and I wouldn't recommend standing on this case, nor would I call it waterproof. Like the other reviewers say, it's not a heavy duty case and you shouldn't expect the same performance out of it as you'd get from a $150 SKB case. I bought this case to store a relatively cheap ($200) Ibanez GSR100 bass. My Fender Jazz bass also fits nicely in this case, and probably any 34" scale bass would fit.If you're just putting your bass in the car, storing it, or carrying it to a gig, this case will get the job done. Most of us want a little more protection than a gig bag offers, and this is a modestly priced alternative to the Gator cases. Definitely recommend it, especially if the instrument you're protecting is a cheap bass. If you have a $2500 Rickenbacker, I'd say you probably want to look for a better case than this one.And just an update, about a year and a half after buying the case, I'm still quite happy with it. I mostly just use it to take my bass out of the house and to store it in a closet, and the case is perfect for that. As a side note, I do have an SKB case for my Fender Jazz bass. This case is much lighter, which is good if you're carrying it around.Another update, this is a picture of the case with my GSR100. The case is about 2" deep and about 20.5"x14". You can see the body of my base pretty nicely fills that cavity for the body. My Fender basses fit similarly.

Excellent for the price
As others have stated, this is great for storage and short range transport to and from, or in transport situations where protection isn't a main concern. Its basically used when a gig bag would suffice, but you want a cool case for gig bag prices. The inside is the padding most musical instruments and it fit my SRX series Ibanez. Its generic so it doesn't have neck protection. It has good storage space for accessories and where the neck rests you can keep cleaning rags or other items (if you don't mind them bumping into the guitar). The case is not as solid as I thought it would be. Its a little on the flimsy side, but you get what you pay for.I would not trust this case handle if I had to run with it, or to protect my guitar when I take it on flights, or stacking other guitar cases on top of it. Get those combat hard plastic cases if you need protection. Also the case doesn't line up when you close it (Sometimes it does) and at times you have to give personal attention to latches. The key lock takes some playing but works overall. But the lock is an after thought, someone really wanting to open it can use a tool to pop the locks or hinges . . .Its not like those expensive and uber cases where you shut it, run a finger across the locks and it locks like in the movies. The looks are above what its price is. Though the vinyl is average to touch, and plastic / metal parts cheap, it looks like much more expensive case. The stitching is actually well done. There aren't loose ends or odd pieces, and case looks well put together.Cons . . .The only cons is basically this case is a glorified gig bag. It offers no real protection above a gig bag would offer. In summary this is great case for the price. I would get another one if I needed it, but practicality would have me invest in a case that offers hardcore protection.

Good long scale bass carrying case.
It great for short traveling distances and just for store a bass it's great. I have a Fender P Bass and a Squire 5 string J Bass and the both fit perfectly one at a time. If you are a musician and can appreciate good storage for a multiple of bass guitars this makes sense and is affordable. If your doing serious gigs spend the extra money on a better case.

Perfect!
I was surprised at how nice and how good it held my bass! This is perfect for any bass, as it is a universal bass case. The inside of mine was black and it had a compartment where you can put your cords. It also came with two keys to lock up your case. This case is somewhat big but it's perfect for storing and keeping away from any damage. The inside and outside of my case was black and the outside had gold trimming. It's perfect. It's really worth what you pay for and doesn't look cheap at all.

Expensive Looking Case
I ordered this case because of the low price tag, but was surprised when the invoice said that the case was nonreturnable.Especially, when I opened the case and discovered that the inside compartment, and lid were partially separated from the inside wall of the case.I assume the problem was improper installation at the factoryFortunately, I was able to fix the problem with some extra screws, glue, a small piece of wood, and a clamp.Unless you are fairly handy, or wish to roll the dice, hoping to get a good one, I would not recommend buying this guitar case.

Decent Bass case for a good price
Good case for the money. I really prefer an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), but at 3- 4 times the cost it is really hard to justify the Fender OEM case. This one does the job well. I have spent a couple of dollars on sheet foam to surround the body of the guitar to keep it from moving. But I have sources for the foam, cheap, and I have the equipment and skills to fabricate it. The case construction seems pretty sturdy, and the latches are not bad. It helps keep the guitar from getting banged up. It holds up to the usual banging around in the trunk to a gig. However, if I were to travel frequently by plane, I would spend the money on a heavy duty case.
